Corpse X Sykkuno || Always Be With Me

A New Job

Sunday, 1:30 pm

"Recently I've been too engrossed with playing games, I really need to get a job... How am I going to pay my water bill at this rate" Sykkuno sighs, flipping his impoverished wallet.

"My uncle recently opened a new café. Why don't I ask him about it?" Lily smiled holding on both of his hands together, cheering him up.

"U-Uhm... It's really okay Lily... You don't have to, I don't want to intrude on your uncle... I can find another job" Sykkuno replied.

"DAAAW IT'S FINE! IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE GETTING A FREE PAY, YOU'LL HAVE TO WORK HARD FOR IT TOO!" Lily assured as she texts her uncle.

"My uncle says that he is still lacking in staff members and you'll be starting tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm alrite?" She cheered.

"U-Umm isn't this a bit sudden? A-and not to mention I'm VERY awkward around strangers..." Sykkuno stutters looking down at his feet, feeling bad for the uncle.

"heyyy it's gonna be alright. I have your back" Lily gives a small pat on Sykkuno's shoulder. Sykkuno smiled faintly and thank lily as they continued their live stream.

Monday 8:00 am

"Oh god... I couldn't get a wink of sleep... What if I mess up it up on the first day??? What if I'm too awkward? What if-..." he slaps himself on his cheeks, before deciding to wake up and take a walk before going to his newjob.

The small coffee shop located just down the street from his place. A faint aroma of roasted coffee beans could be picked up miles away, just passing by the store would make you just wanna get a cup of their coffee.

"U-um... Hello?" Sykkuno peek into the shop. "Oh! It's you! Sykkuno was it? I heard from Lily a lot about you! Welcome to the shop boy. C'me here, lemme teach you how to work with the cash machine then we'll introduce you to the other staff members." "A-ALRIGHT! THANK YOU!" Sykkuno excitedly followed the man's instructions and change into his uniform.

"Guys, this is Thomas (Sykkuno's real name), He will be the new member to our crew! Let's give him a warm welcome." It wasn't long before everyone starts to warm up to him but there was one guy who has been just sitting at the table at the corner of the room. "Let's try to talk to him!" Sykkuno went ahead to greet the man, but was ignored ruthlessly.

As the shy boy himself, he don't know how to start a topic especially when he was ignored, the other staffs dragged him away telling him to ignore the guy.  "Omg can I take a photo with you later?" The girls clap cheerfully while taking out their phones.

It wasn't long before the shop was filled, it was full of many types of people, from elderly to adults, from teenagers to children. It gives out a heartwarming feeling, to add on the smoky smell from the coffee beans really is mood lifting. A kid pointed at Sykkuno while pulling his father's clothes, "Papa! Look! It's Sykkuno!"  The father then fixed his glasses and focus onto Sykkuno.

"Ahhh I see! No wonder you look familiar! My son is a big fan of you. He would always drag our whole family to watch your videos." After they left, the staff that was beside who were eavesdropping them, started asking him about it.

3:30 pm

"Whew... today is pretty hectic but at least I finally made new friends!" Sykkuno gave himself a confident boost. When he was taking out the trash and notice that the guy who ignored him just now was actually dozing off at the bench nearby. "Should I try to talk to him again?" While thinking he finds his way closer and closer to the bench eventually he attempts to talk to the man .

"U-Um! You'll get cold if you sleep here..." Sykkuno offers his scarf towards the young man. The guy awkwardly nodded and avoiding eye contact with him.

"..." The guy rejects the scarf by pushing it back to Sykkuno. Sykkuno then gazes at the familiar bracelet that was on the guy's hand.

"Where have I seen that bracelet before... " Sykkuno thought to himself as the man stood up and left. "Oh well.. I'll eventually remember it" Sykkuno rubs the back of his neck and went back to the shop to pack up his belongings and left for home.

"Oh, yea! I almost forgot I have a stream today!" Sykkuno hurries back home to take a small snap before starting his stream.

"Alrite, that's it for today and thank you for always being there with me... I really appreciate it... Really thanks... Well, hope you guys have a good night and rest well.." after several attempts of saying good night his audience, he finally waves his hands to the screen and end his stream. Looking at the alarm that was blazing 2 am, Sykkuno flops onto his bed while scrolling through his Instagram feed.

"Well... I should go to sleep soon..." but his fingers was still scrolling his instagram feed and came upon Corpse's post. "Pft- why did he post a strand of his hair. " Sykkuno chuckles. When he lays his eyes on the bracelet that Corpse has on his wrist, he zoom into it..

It is the same bracelet as the man had
