Marinette Dupain Cheng is a high school student attending Dupont High. She had a whole group of friends and a crush Adrien Agreste. She had a supporting family and pursued her dreams of fashion. With the help of Jagged Stone her honorary Uncle she became an unknown fashion designer named MDC. She had one bully Chloe Bugious.
That is until she was granted the power of creation to save her city. Her Kwami Tikki trained her and she became Ladybug to protect the city from Hawkmoth. She had a partner the wielder of destruction Cat Noir also known as Adrien Agreste. But none of them knew who each other were under the mask. There were other heroes that came and went like Queen Bee, Rena Rouge, Carapace, King Monkey, Bunnix, Pegasus, Viperon, and Ryuuko. Soon there identities were outed and they couldn't be heroes anymore.
When Marinette became Ladybug she had to lie and bail on her friends since she had to protect the city from Akumas. On top of that she had babysitting duties, helped her parents in the bakery, and was class president.
Soon a new student named Lila Rossi came to school and started lying. Everyone believed her lies but you could see through them. Lila lied about being the best friend of the superhero Ladybug. Since Marinette was Ladybug she knew that Lila was lying. She confronted Lila and Lila threatened to make her life miserable. But Marinette never have in to Lila and pointed out her lies. But somehow Lila was able to have a hold on her classmates and teachers. Soon it started affecting her relationship with her parents.
It was a normal day for Marinette when she received and emergency message from Cat Noir to meet up at the Effile tower. She transformed and met Chat Noir.
"Chat, what's the emergency?" She asks.
"I'm sorry Milady," he answers.
"What do you mean your sorry?"
She gets no reply and see Cat Noir coming closer to her.
"Chat, what's going on!?"
He doesn't reply and pins her arms down.
"Stop Chat what are you doing?"
"Ladybug you have been betrayed!" Hawkmoth says coming out of the shadows.
"What! No! That can't be true! Chat please tell me this is all some sock joke!"
"..."
"At last victory is ours. Chat Noir give me Ladybug's miraculous," Hawkmoth says.
"Chat, don't!" She say.
But Chat Noir doesn't listen. And tips her earrings from her ears. Her transformation fall and she hears Chat Noir gasps.
"Ladybug or should I say Marinette Dupain Cheng. This battle is over," Hawkmoth says.
"Why are you doing this Chat!"
"Its for my mother!" He yells.
"Your mother?"
"She used the broken Peacock miraculous which put her into coma."
"This is not how you save her! Your going to doom the world!"
"Adrien give me the ring and earrings!" Hawkmoth says.
"Yes father."
Adrien gives Hawkmoth the ring and earrings.
Hawkmoth detransform and Gabriel is left in his place. He then puts the earring and ring on. Tikki and Plagg appear,
"Kawmi's what are your names," Hakwmoth asks.
"Why would we tell you!" Plagg hisses.
"I order you to tell me!" Hawkmoth shouts.
"Tikki."
"Plagg."
"Tikki, Plagg, Unify!" Gabriel yells.
A light lashes over him and Tikki and Plagg are pulled together.
"My son and I wish for Emille Graham De Vanily Agreste to be healed," Gabriel says.
"Are you ready to pay the price," A voice says.
"Yes, anything," Gabriel says.
