Beomgyu's eyes widened, "M-my love?" He stumbled, surprised at first, but soon turned into a playful tease, "Was that a confession? Oh, Marie! We just met." He smirked earning him an eye roll and a list torn out from Marie's notebook.
"What are these?" He asked looking at the list, "Rules?" He scanned the words written onto the thin sheet of paper. One read: "4. No electric vehicles. Only transportations by bike, scooter, skateboard, or walking. " Another was: " 13. Every morning do 10 jump squats, 10 push-ups, and 20 sit-ups. (Subject to change)" There were many other small tidbits he would have to change in his everyday routine. In fact, he would completely change his daily routine! What he usually did was sleep till 1, eat a super late breakfast, ride the bus to the rink, practice (or just skate around) for 3 hours, ride the bus back home, and play video games or sleep till one in the afternoon the next day.
He was doing fine before. Why does he have to change this now?! And from someone who doesn't even ice-skate!
"This schedule will be in effect starting tomorrow." Beomgyu snapped his head up to face the owner of this voice. "What?! This is crazy! Plus, I'll be starting school tomorrow, this schedule doesn't accommodate my schooling stuff." Beomgyu waved the piece of paper in annoyance, causing Marie to chuckle a bit.
"You see that gap of time right there?" She pointed at the part where it says Break: 8:30 to 4:30, "That's the time school begins and ends, with an hour and 40 minutes to get some or all of your schoolwork done and come here to the rink. Also, the rink isn't far from the school, so you'll have extra time to do whatever.
Beomgyu huffed, "How will I benefit from this."
Marie sighed, "You'll be more physically and mentally sound. This schedule can increase your strength and stamina, which would better enhance your performance on the ice."
Beomgyu looked at her questioningly, "You sound too smart to be a teen, how old are you really?"
Marie smiled, "All I'm saying is that you'll feel better when you're skating. This sport will feel like it's apart of you than being some sort of hobby. I can tell that it used to be like that."
Beomgyu sighed and looked down at his skates, he closed his eyes remembering the first time he won his first senior division championship. How nervous he was. How much work and time and effort he put in every day to make it to that position. How he lost himself in the music and felt as if he was in another world. How at home he felt. How he never felt like that since that day.
The smile that he had faded as he opened his eyes to meet Marie's. The two stared at each other in silence, neither wanting to look away. That was until Beomgyu glanced at the clock and took a small breath, "Well look at the time," He chuckled, "I better get going. I'll text you when I get home. See you tomorrow!"
As he headed home, Beomgyu wiped a tear that escaped. He sighed as a few more tears fell from his eyes. Why was he crying? He honestly didn't know. Though he felt as if something was missing.
And he knows what it is...
Hope you're liking it..
