you scared me

"There are death eaters attacking muggles." Arthur gave us a short explanation as he grabbed Ginny's arm and tossed her to George. "Charlie, Percy, Bill, and I need to go help the ministry. Fred, George, take Ginny with you." He said as himself and the three oldest brothers ran into the chaos.

Fred looked at me with wide eyes and he grabbed my hand before I could protest and George grabbed Ginny's as we started running out of the tent. I looked around, people were running in every which way, there were tents on fire, and in the middle of it all a bunch of death eaters were holding a muggle up in the air and torturing him. I shook with fear, I heard that the death eaters (who are supporters of Voldemort) all hated muggles and muggleborns. I'm a muggleborn and I'd rather not be flung into the air head down and knickers exposed. Fred noticed my discomfort and we followed his twin and little sister through the crowd. My hand gripped tightly into his as we sprinted through the thousands of people pushing and shoving.

I felt a deep sting on my arm and yelped. I realized I had run into someone who had been holding something metal. It sliced deeply through the flesh of my upper right arm. I let go of Fred's hand to grasp the place of pain, my lips parted as I held back a groan when my fingers made contact with the cut. Fred looked back at me while still running, his face shocked I let go, but I quickly got pushed by people surrounding me since I had stopped moving. I couldn't see him anymore.

"Fred!" I yelled out in terror. "Fred! Where are you!" I screamed through the crowd. Being short was not beneficial in this situation, I couldn't see above the shoulders of everyone running past me. Not to mention my arm was aching with pain and blood was rushing out. My head got dizzy and I closed my eyes for a second. A tall man ran straight into me and I fell to the ground. My face hit the dirty grass and my eyes closed shut. I was too weak to move from the blood loss and pain in my head from falling. I laid there scared for my life while my ears ringed. Through the faded sound I could barely make out Fred's yells.

"Y/n!" was the last thing I heard before everything went black and I passed out.

When I woke up my head was on some fabric, my eyes fluttered open and I realized I was laying on someone's lap. My head throbbed in pain and my arm burned. Infection Infection Infection. That word repeated itself in my head. I had fallen with an open cut onto a dirty ground, which would've caused dirt and bacteria to get in and mostly likely it would be infected. I opened my eyes all the way and I instantly met the chocolate eyes that belonged to no other than Fred. His ginger hair had fallen in his face and he was looking down at me while stroking my hair. His tense features softened when his eyes met mine.

"Hey y/n/n... how you feeling?" I opened my mouth to respond but my throat barley let a groan out. I started to sit up and took in my surroundings. We were somewhere in the forest and I could barely make out the light of the fires through the trees. Fred was leaning against a tree and I had been in Freds lap. I could barely see anything but stars. I rubbed my eyes to let them adjust. I scooted myself up against the tree next to Fred and he put his arm around my waist pulling me closer so I was squeezed against his chest. I gulped dryly and managed to get a word out.

"Infection." I croaked pointing to my deep cut that now had a crusted layer of blood over it. He chuckled at the randomness of what I said.

"Yeah.. it's probably infected but are you alright?" He met my eyes and he actually looked concerned for me. Fred, George, and I had always had a very jokey friendship and we didn't talk about "deep stuff" much. We also weren't the kind to say stuff like I love you to each other. I nodded in response.

"I'm okay." I could talk easily now. He kissed my temple and I rested my head on his hard shoulder.

"Damn you." I looked at him puzzled. "You scared me y/l/n." His voice was quivering.
