This story begins on August 8, also known as Tommy Blake’s birthday, which means one of the biggest parties of the year. This is one of the most expected for every teen and young adult on Scarlett Ville or at least for the Oaks Hill ones, which are the rich side of the town. On this one lives all the privileged families, including the Stratford's, the wealthiest family on the West Coast.

The Stratford family is known for being one of the founding families of Scarlett Ville and one of the most important lineage of lawyers in the country.

First, we have the parents, Mark and Sarah, this relationship starts because of an arranged marriage and with the time it turns into a real one, or at least that’s what people see. These two had four children; the first was Orion, the boy that everyone was waiting for, the future head of the family. A year later Cassiopeia was born, the perfect girl, moms favourite. After the second kid everyone thought that it was going to be the last one, but apparently, the condom company didn’t think the same, because three years later Gemini was born, you know, the unwanted child, but only for her mother when it comes to her dad she is the favourite. And last but not least, is Aquila, she’s the youngest, with only 5 years old, she wasn’t planned either but for some kind of reason her mother didn’t react in the same way that she did with Gemini, Aquila is the light of her life.

Mark and Sarah Stratford, especially Sarah, are the type of people who loathe everyone who is not on their ‘level’ and they taught this to their first two children, but they couldn't do the same , and she doesn’t believe that one is worth more than the other because of it. Actually, her way of treating employees was always the beginning of discussion with most of her family, she used to treat them as equals and she is still doing it, but with the years she learned to not show this part of herself to everyone, creating a new image to leave her family happy.

“Miss Bennett and Mr. Thompson are here” announced Perkins, the Stratford’s butler, and let them in.

Katherine Bennett and Peter Thompson are two of Gemini’s closest friends. She met Peter first thanks to her parents and their business reunions, and later, when they started 1st grade she met Katherine.

“KAT” the 5-year-old girl screamed when she saw the brunette walk through the door.

“Hey Quila” the girl picked up the little blonde and turned to look at her friend.

“You’re not ready yet?” Peter asked, to the girl sitting on one of the couches, still on her pajamas.

“I’m not going” that’s the only answer she gave to them to continue watching the TV.

“What’d you mean you're not going? You have to! Is your best friend's birthday!” Katherine said with Aquila still in her arms. The blonde just rolled her eyes and got up to lock herself in her room. These actions make the friends look at the kid, trying to know what’s going on.

“She had a fight with mommy” both teens looked at each other worried about their friend. The Stratford girl never had the best relation with her mother, she always preferred her father.

Sarah Stratford is definitely not the mother of the year and especially not with her third child, maybe because she never was able to understand her own daughter, or because she never planned on having another kid.

“Hey G” Peter knocked on the door and waited for an answer, when he didn't receive any, he decided to enter the room, finding Gemini looking for something in her closet.
