Always writing letters, you write them for the people you care about, or just wanna brighten someone's day! You've only done it for the people in your plantation, and even wrote some to your caretakers, Nana and Hachi.

The only reason you write your feelings and your way of comforting them, is because you never found the right words, or gestures to express how much you care for them deep down in your heart. All you can do if they're feeling gloomy is.. sit down with them, steal a few glances, and end up being tongue tied on what to say from the overwhelming feelings you want to convey in gestures and words.

So, because of that you hand them a letter.

But after a war breaking out and a reveal about Papa being our enemy, it's just a hard time, especially for the remaining 9's. They trusted Papa blindly, since to them his orders were absolute.. every order by made by APE they trusted it wholeheartedly...Papa played them like a puppet, and he didn't have any difficulties with them whatsoever.

"This should do!" You exclaimed as you meticulously folded the piece of paper into threes, and carefully slipping it in a handmade mint green envelope. You set down the envelope on top of the colored construction paper you use for making the envelopes.

After setting it down you began cleaning up the messy desk filled with sticker sheets, pieces of cut paper, and a bunch of colorful pens you asked from Papa every time he'd give your squad some gifts.

'Papa... I can't believe you toyed us all,' You bit your lip as you took a breathe to calm yourself down.

"I didn't think you'd be writing a letter at this time [name], who's it for?"

You shifted your attention to the voice, to see Ikuno with a faint smile on her face holding out the mint green envelope. "O-Oh Ikuno," You sighed in relief thinking it was someone else. "Sorry about that [name], I was just walking back from the bathroom, to see your lights still on, it's just surprising seeing you awake at this time," Ikuno apologized as she placed back the letter at its original spot.

"Ikuno! Y-You don't have to help me clean," You stared at her as she picked up the small pieces of paper on the table. "I can do it by myself," As you finished arranging the rest of the pens and sticker sheets.

Ikuno laughed, "I just wanted to know who the letter is for, and you don't usually use green for the envelopes," Ikuno states, you knew she is very observant, and now she's more sociable and open about herself than before.

"W-Well I just.. you know, I just.. thought about giving a letter to one of the 9's," You started twiddling your thumbs, as you were a little embarrassed to admit it, but since Ikuno is being honest with you and your squad it's the least you could do and give her a bit of honesty back.

"I'm not surprised you are.. but a few months back you didn't exactly like 9's especially their leader," Ikuno smiles at you but as she got far into the last part of the sentence the smile turned into a small frown.

You widened your eyes on what she said, and a sad smile was present on your face. "As you said Ikuno, 'Even 9's can feel emotions'.. and after what happened I still think they haven't gotten over it. Especially Nine Alpha who.. had a mental breakdown in the middle of battle.. and even if I did say I didn't like him a few months back, maybe it changed during this time."

"As caring, and sympathetic as ever [name]," Ikuno gave a pat onto your shoulder as she left the room back to go back into her own.

You left a sigh as Ikuno left. "He just needs some reassurance and some comforting. I can't stand watching anybody suffer like that," You held the letter in front of your face holding it up with both of your hands.
