Standing before her beloved ocean she took a deep breath
Knowing that what she is going to do will take him to hell
She slowly stepped forward into the waves
She knew he had been watching and only watching
As she battled to save their love from drowning
So with tears in her eyes
She let the roaring ocean take her whole

He stood at the cliff waiting for her to appear
As time passed he looked at the skies above
He felt a pang of pain in his heart
His eyes wide in panic and hair swept back
As he ran towards the shore looking for her
He caught a glimpse of her hair disappearing into the ocean
And for the first time in years called out her name
Wishing that it wasn't too late
He jumped into the unwelcoming ocean
And searched for her in the endless cerulean
