We laid on the bed, bare legs tangled together, Jungkook's panting breaths evening out. we laid in silence, my fingers slowly caressing his bare and prominent abs. He placed a chaste kiss on my lips, "Can I ask you something?" He whispered against my parted lips and I nodded."You like her, don't you?" He asked in barely a whisper, his eyes curiously searching mine.
"She's lovely, of course I like her."
"I just want you to admit it." A hint of something that I couldn't fully decipher glazing his eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean darling?" I laced my fingers in his hair and placed a soft kiss on his forehead. "Admit to what?" I asked as he pulled me closer, nipping at my jaw.
"I've never seen you look at any woman the way you look at her."
"You are my everything Kook, my love, my life. How could you think I would look at anyone else like that?" I denied, hating the fact that a small part of me agreed with him.
"I never said you want to leave me for her. You would miss me too much." He winked at playfully. "But you can't deny that you like her more than just a friend. I think she likes you too."
"I think she likes you more. She's more comfortable with you." I said in a soft voice thinking back to her small frame walking around the house, following him around. Their back and forth teasing, childish yet so endearing. Maybe Kook was right? Maybe I did like her. I was certainly intrigued by her. Intrigued by the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about something she adored, or the blush on her cheeks when she got flustered. The way she would pull on the edges of her shirt when she was nervous. She did that a lot.
I could see Kook was thinking about what I had said, his eyes trailed to somewhere behind me staring for a second before replying. "I don't know. Would you be mad at me if I liked her?" He asked, his eyes shying away from me. There was a pang of something that rippled through my chest.
"I know you have been with girls before you met me, and she is beautiful, so I guess it is understandable that you find her attractive."
"But you do too, don't you?"
"I honestly don't know Kook." I told him, getting frustrated by the conversation.
"What's the point of this conversation? I don't understand what you're suggesting.""Tell me if you are attracted to her."
"I don't bloody know." I snapped, sitting upright in my frustration, I continued. "I've never been attracted to a woman or anyone but you for that matter, and you know that. She's intriguing, and my feelings... Well... they're confusing." I looked at him waiting for him to lash out on me. To tell me that I had no right in going around feeling anything at all for anyone but him.
His big eyes stared at me, reading me like I was an open book. He knew me, he knew my battles, my thoughts. "I'm not angry or jealous, Tae. So you can stop looking so guilty." He smiled.
"I..." I trailed off, hiding my face behind my hands. "Let's not talk about this anymore. She's become a good friend and that's that."
