I ran back to my room tears in my eyes, hoping no one will see me. When I got back to my room, I I didnt sleep. when the next day inevitably came around and I went to the dining hall to eat. as soon as Bolin and Opal came in they knew something was up me and Jinora not sitting together and all. Bolin came to me and Opal went to Jinora to see what was up.
"Hey Kai why aren't you sitting with Jinora." Bolin said.
"I dont want to talk about it" I said sadly.
"C'mon lil bro you can tell me!" Bolin said.
"Fine, I messed up. Me and Jinora where out late last night playing a wing suit game and Tenzin caught us and I got us in trouble, so she blamed me and I shifted the blame. then she said if we always get in trouble then... we shouldn't hang out." I explained
"Oh no! Well we'll make a plan for you to win her back! after breakfast" He said.
"no can do bro I have to meat with Tenzin. Its probably for my punishment." I said.
"Dang well when you get back ok?" The earthbender asked.
"ok" I responded.
After breakfast I walked to Tenzin's office right as I walked in I was filled with embarrassment. Jinora was sitting in the seat next to mine.
"Hello Kai" Tenzin said. I waved back
"You and Jinora are going on a mission together to the Eastern Air Temple. It seems that some of the red lotus has fled there and taken it over. you too just need to scout it out" He went on.
"Ok!" We both replied.
"You to will leave as soon as possible." Tenzin finished.
"What Bison should we take?" Jinora asked.
"Its up to you as long as you get the saddle ready"
"Ok so you'll get food ad that stuff then?" She said.
"yup" I responded.
As I walked away I felt empty. Usually when we got to do anything together we were exited not anymore I guess. Then a friendly face turned the corner.
"Hey Bolin!" I said.
"Hey Kai! Ready to plan? He said excitedly
"unfortunately not, Me and Jinora have a mission together so I got to pack." I said
"thats perfect, no Tenzin to get in the way you can finally ask her on a date!" He explained.
"Yea right! This is gonna be the most awkward mission ever!" I said before I walked away.
When we I finished packing I walked out to the Bisons stables to see lefty all suited up! We packed everything on and we were off. about half way there on what can be described as the most quit and awkward flight ever.
"Look I'm sorry for making you do things that get us in trouble." I apologized.
"No It's fine, I'm the one who needs to apologize. The truth is I love doing things with you, even when it gets us in trouble." She responded.
We hugged and then looked into each others eyes, We were blushing like crazy. And then I kissed her!
"Kai..." Jinora said.
"Im sorry I ju-"
She kissed me! I couldn't help but blush. and for the rest of the rise she rested her head on my shoulder.
"DOWN THERE!" Jinora pointed out.
"Lefty yip yip" we started our decent . we landed in a clearing out of sight and set up camp. by then the sun began to set,we ate dinner and set up camp. We only set up 1 tent and we cuddled until we fell asleep. I woke up to the zip of the tent then the light pored in.
"5 more minutes!" I pleaded turning over and away from the light.
"Come on Kai! We need to investigate!" She said while tugging on my arm.
"ugh fine" I said while sitting up.
We started to approach the temple. Then we saw the unthinkable, airbenders held captive! I clinched my fists I swear who ever leads this group will pay! I started to stand up but Jinora grabbed my arm.
"I know, I see it to but you cant blow our cover" Jinora said empathically.
I sat back down. "We have to get in to save them!"
I sat there arms crossed thinking. 10 minutes past and I had a idea!
"Jinora I have a plan!" I said.
"What?" She said skeptically.
"I'll go undercover and then find you a way in! You cant go undercover cause your tattoos." I said while gesturing to my forehead with my finger.
"That would work if you weren't in a wing suit."
"Damn it!" I replied pondering up a new plan.
I couldn't fly to a town to get clothes they were all to far, we could just break in. But thats to much of a risk even for me. I couldn't let those people be imprisoned I thought.
"We could just call for Korra." Jinora suggested.
"No I cant leave them in captive, who knows how long she'll take. I've been in prison before, who knows what could be happening to them." I replied.
Then I remembered the extra pair of clothes I packed, I liked them more than the wig suit so anytime I could get out of the suit I could. without saying a word I ran down the mountain back yo the camp.
"Where are you going?" Jinora asked.
"stay here and keep watch I'll be back soon" I said vague as always.
I came back in clothes similar to the ones I wore before I became a airbender.
"alright here's the plan, I'll go there as a new recruit and meet me down by that door asap." I said while pointing to a small door that went into some sort of tunnel.
"Ok." Jinora responded.
I made my way up to a checkpoint, with 3 guards stationed by it.
"State your business boy" A guard said.
"I want to join the red lotus!" I stated confidently.
They all began to laugh. "Why would want do join us?" One said.
"my parents were members, but they died when the avatars friends attack. My parents told me to come find the group." I said with fake sadness.
"Ok kid come on in." The third guard said with empathy in her voice.
I walked in and no one was really doing anything in unison just a bunch of random activities. it seemed like this would be a piece of cake. I spent a while trying to find the door, and man did I see some mean looking people. But finally I found it. As soon as I opened the door she was there.
"Boy are you a pleasant site!" I said flirtatiously.
"Your not to bad yourself!" she said before we kissed.
"Do you know where they're being kept?" She asked.
"No, thats the problem" I replied.
For the net hour we we looked until we found it. As soon as I opened the door I almost puked because of the stench. There were rats on the ground, and the airbenders were chained up.
"Who are you? Are you hear to save us?" One said.
"ssshhh, and yea we are" I said.
Right as I started to break the chains of a airbender, guards came in!

Will Kai and Jinora save the airbenders!? w\Well thats chapter 2! I hope you liked it. Im really enjoying this so Im not gonna stop anytime soon, Chapter 3 will be out hopefully tomorrow. But whats better longer or shorter chapters?
