Dean sat at his laptop, nearly finished with his chemistry homework, hating every minute of it. Well, he was supposed to be doing his chemistry homework. Instead, his phone sat on his lap playing the newest episode of "Dr. Sexy, M.D." where Dr. Sexy revived his patient and fellow doctor, Dr. Teague.
They weren't together yet, but Dean had shipped them for years. It was clear that while Dr. Teague and Dr. Sexy had both been interested in girls before, they were clearly bi. Dean may have self-projected that one though.
"Dean, dinner's ready!"
"Coming, mom!"

"So I heard someone did really well on his report card today," John said with a smile directed at his pride and joy, Sammy Winchester.
Dean picked at his pizza, something unusual for him. It wasn't that his grades were terrible, they weren't. He got three As, two Bs, and one C+ in trigonometry. But Sammy always got straight As. It just came easier to him.
Mary smiled. "Great job, both of you," she nudged Dean. He looked up. "I saw that your world history grade went up to an A, Dean. Your teacher said you did really well on your last test."
He smiled back, still slightly disappointed in himself that he didn't do as well as his brother. The last test was easy, of course he'd get an A. It was on the history of cars and the machinery inside them. He loved cars, especially his dad's car.
"I'm full, I can't finish dessert," Mary said.
"Mary, you didn't even touch it," John said.
She pushed her famous cherry pie toward her green-eyed son, winking at him as she stood up to clean the dishes from dinner. She always knew what he needed.
He could always talk to her. Well, most of the time. He couldn't do that when he realized he was bi. And John made it perfectly clear that they didn't support that in this house.
"I don't want you watching that show anymore, they're trying to make everything gay," he'd said. Mary said nothing, so Dean took her silence as agreement. Of course his dad would be annoyed at Dr. Sexy possibly having a male love interest, but for Dean, it was a chance for representation, to see himself in something else.
"Hello? Dean?"
Dean shook out of his stupor. "Yes, dad?"
"Did you see the list for basketball tryouts?"
"Yes, dad."
"Did you sign up?"
"Yes, dad," he said. Yes, yes, yes. Can I ever do something I like for once? No, no, no.
"I joined mock trial today," Sam said. "We might have to leave school early next week though. The first session is across town."
"Oh, who's in that with you?" Mary asked, taking John's plate to the sink for him.
"Lucifer Shurley is the president this year because he's a senior and his younger brother, um, Gabriel is in my grade." Dean could have sworn he saw a faint blush coat his brother's face.
"That Lucifer Shurley is a bad influence, I want you both to stay away from him, is that clear?"
Why? Because he's gay?
Lucifer Shurley was dating another senior boy named Michael. He moved out of the Pastor's house and into his own apartment when right he turned 18 in August. He worked at the local movie theater and at the general store down the street from John's garage.
