i love this feeling, when the wind blows through your free hair and runs through every nerve in your body. it's like... it's like exactly what it is, running. i had loved it even before i had become a werewolf, but know, in the words of gilderoy lockhart (from harry potter) -It's just like magic!
i finally got a proper change, with no clothes being ripped off of my body as i changed into a frickin wolf. charlie had said to go change behind the tree over there and i was just like 'nu uh' and he was all like 'i promise i wont look' and i was like 'i dont trust you' and to that he snickered. i also brought up the idea of changing into a wolf in my bed room and jumping out the window but charlie said it wasnt a good idea, and i'm rambling. anyways i ended up changing behind the tree and as far as i know charlie didnt sneak a look. so all was good.
but back to the running, it was am-az-ing! the wind through my hair the occasional grazing of a tree that leavt my side burning, the terrible stumble over a rock. all-in-all i still had a lot to learn but even now i was still faster than charlie, he's kinda slow. what did you think? i heard the voice ripping through me and knew i was in some serious trouble. uhhh... nothing, well actually i was thinking how hard it is to stay in front of you cause your sooo fast i sent to him, leaving a little head ache in my right temple. of coarse you were he said back. ha, im so dead. now thats more like it he sent, how does he keep reading my mind? well theirs something called a mind wall and either you dont have one or you suck at putti-.
ah much better i thought to myself as i pulled up my mind wall that he was talking so fondly about. just kidding he said. ahhhhww darn it i thought i was getting good at this. i've been here the entire time and you aint getting rid of me that easy. can you slow down so we can talk? he asked tiredly. i slowed to a walk as he caught up to me, he was that far behind.
so whats up slow poke? i asked mentally
haha he replied.
no im serious why did you wanna talk?
he seemed taken back by my seriousness. why was that? i was totally capable of being serious!
stop looking at me like that i said getting self contious. i was covered in fur for goodnesss sakes.
sorry... i just wanted to talk... about... there he goes again, staring at me like i was some amazing, awe-inspiring peice of art or something.
what??!! i asked, getting impatient. he snapped out of his daze immediatly. I... what... were we talking about? he asked cluelessly.
you have attention issues i said we were talking about a mind shield before you asked to stop and went in that daze.
oh right so let's go meet the pack he said before speeding off, what the heck was wrong with him. i paused to question that for a moment before zooming off to catch up with him.
what is going on with you? i asked voicing my thoughts.
why would you think anything is wrong he asked, sound on the verge of histerics. suddenly my nose started twitching, as a scent like dried blood came to it, dont ask me how i knew what dried blood smelt like, it was rosie who detected the scent. speaking of rosie you doing ok? i asked as i ran. yeah im fi- she was cut short as i tripped over a rock and tumbled nearly fifty yards. ouch. i could tell charlie was turning around to get me but i was way behind him right now, he would never make it before the other wolf, rushing towards me.
i readied in what i had seen in many movies as a fighters stance, bracing myself for the unknown.
the wolf, which i now saw was a dark chocolate brown came closer with each stride before he skidded to a stop only a foot from where i was standing, he quickly launched himself of the ground and jumped over me, confusing my sense of direction. as i turned around the full weight of a wolf fell on top of me and i barely held firm, holding my breath as i braced my legs into a standing position. i brought all the power i could into my back legs and tried to buck off the wolf, only half successeding with the wolf went a large chunck of my fur, i yelped in pain as i saw the bald patch of skin on my shoulder.
he was not going to hurt me or my wolf, ever. anyone who has known me long enough knows not to get on my bad side, if im mad get out of my way. i was enraged. i ran and pounced onto the wolf as he started to stand and knocked him back to the ground, earning a yelp from the wolf. all my weight was balanced between their chest and there throat where i had one of my paws. if this wolf moved its head my nails would most likely choke it to death. leave! i sent in a cold bitter voice. i pushed my claws further onto it's throat before pulling my paw from the wolf's throat entirely and stepping off of it, it looked fearfully at me before it slowly cantering off the way it had come. i looked back at my bald spot and winced, it was starting to turn this terrible shade of red. i turned back to watch the wolf.
charlie came up beside me as i stood there watching the retreating wolf great timing i sent to him sarcastically. he mentally chuckled (if thats even possible) and replied i know.
i just stood there, what was that all about? i asked. a rouge wolf, they dont like origin wolves very much, well actually no werewolf beside other origins like origin werewolves he said in the same trance-like state i was in as he watched the werewolf walking away. why? i asked sadly.
we're different. he said looking down at me with a wolfish smirk.
how? i asked curiously
