Chapter 1: Haruto Nakamura

I am sitting on the couch in my living room, watching Yutoon videos on my phone, and occasionally checking my texts. Oh!-- I almost forgot! My name is Yua Yamazaki. I have lived in Kaita, Hiroshima for almost 3 months now, and I have to say it is not growing on me. The silver lining is that I made a new friend Hana, but the downside.....well there are a lot. First of all, my mother had to stay in Tokyo because she has work that needs to be finished financially. And my dad is still in America because they divorced 4 years ago. the biggest downside though is they decided now was the perfect time to send me to college, so now I have a roommate, which yes, is who I was talking about with Hana. His name is Haruto Nakamura and he always ignores me. Don't think that I want him to notice me. I just tried to make a warm hello when I arrived but he just stared and then looked back down at his book. I would agree with Hana actually, in the part about him being handsome. He is a fine guy. But like I said, I tried. Believe me, I tried. I guess that just goes to show that not everybody who looks fine, is not fine on the inside.
