Not being part of a community always made u feel looked down upon, some even looked at u in disgust, others with a burning hatred in their eyes you would catch urself feeling gulity ,either way all those looks ,alike gave you the same reoccurring thought "you dont belong here "
Being a black nigerian writer at these parts of the world was hard it seemed as if the Americans would take a look at the name of the story's writer and say pass
Agu zitel the writer who had made many efforts to make it into America, "the land of opportunities ",as its common name goes at her nation ,was sitting at the park today ,it was quiet and windy ,the wind made her remember how she would wish that she was american so she could also know how it felt to have light hair so she would feel how it felt for hair to actually follow the rhythmn of the cold wind she was starting to get used toNormally as a writer there were conditons where u could be inspired to write, a quiet ,windy park was zitel's place to think straight ,a chance to escape her overbearing life with a cup of dark coffee and lose herself in the imaginary fictional world she made ,the feeling was euphoric to zitel ,it felt libreating like she was acheving her dreams as a young child
But something was different about today, she wasn't here to think or pitch up an idea for a novel, today she was scared ,she had lost all her nails she bit them all out ,she had to calm down ,that was why she chose this ,she was taking one of the biggest steps of her carreer yet most frightening ,she was hooked up with one of the most intresting stories there was ,the progect was given to her because it was nigerian based story ,her homeland.
The iconic story behind the famous amanda david ,the opportunity to write her biography was shocking and yet a huge honuor ,this was an opportunity of a life time and she wont screw it up ,ignoring the tightening of her guts and her legs of lead ,she boarded a taxi and made her way to the hospital
Around 2hours later she was there in the small plain white visting room ,the brightness of the colour made the room seem bigger than it is ,everything here was so white ,zitel let her eyes roam round the room and she observed how each and every inch of the gleaming white walls looked the same
After a few more minutes of eye scaling the place the door opened and she almost swore that she felt every hair of her head stand erect in fear ,the patient the two men handled was so calm and didnt bother being aggresive
The patient instantly gave zitel a smile "nigerian? "
"Yes"she replied ,amazed at how calm a supposed psychopath was
"Why are you here"amanda asked with a raised brow "here to tell me that when i finally leave this place i have alot to live for "she askedZitel gave eye signals to the guards that had escorted amanda into the room and they left closing the door behind them
"Isnt it a risk to leave urself alone with a psychopath "amanda asked
"I was told as a person in this profession, risking is important,it raises the benefit"
A suprising white smile spread across ammanda's pretty face "i like u"
"I read ur file ,i understand what u did but i need to hear your part of the story ,for a novel "
Another suprising smile"i guess am free,so where do i start"
"The beginning and between us ladies .....tell me everything "zitel said and winked
