chapter 2

"Hey El" Jessica and Mary said in Unison as they hugged.

" Omg, it feels like years ago we met " I said.

" But fortunately it has been 2 months. I missed you all" Jessica said as they came inside and sat down on the sofa.

" Yeah. How was your trip , bitch?" I asked as I sat in front of them.

"It was exhausting. Yet there's is fun in going places for free " she said as we all laughed together.

" Mary , I asked you to come here a month ago. Why didn't come?" I asked with a sad face.

" Oh. Sorry . You know duty calls. How are you all?"

" Still placing every piece together" I said.

" You know, what a life of a married woman is" Leia chuckled.

" Oh yeah. Sorry I couldn't attend your wedding" Jessica said.

"It's fine" she replied .

Then we gossiped for hours. Like 1-3 years sitting here and there.

We brought 3 pizzas and gave 1-2 pieces to Niall when he came home after his own party. He was also our friend , besides being my irritating elder brother.

Soon after he went to sleep, we went to my room for playing and doing other shits.

We played monopoly , cards , truth or dare and other childhood stuffs .

" Hey let's do prank calls" Leia said.

" Oh yeah , I totally forgot" I chuckled.

"So , first Jess will do then me , then El and lastly Mary. " Leia said.

The first one was Jessica.

We called an unknown number. A man picked up.

"Hello?" The man said.

We were holding our laughter and it was very hard. Jessica couldn't say anything , she was rambling.

" Um.... Um..." She went on. And I whispered " say - sir we umm we have a great offer on um I'm fridges . It Will cost very low. Would you like to take one . Say it."

" Um .. sir we have deal ... Great offer on um fridges.. it cost nice." She kept mumbling when she was cut off by him.

" Um wrong number" he said and declined the call and we all burst into laughter.

" You couldn't say a little shit" mary said in between laughing more harder. We were falling here and there while laughing.

" Okay, okay , it's my turn" Leia said excitedly.

" Someone seems excited", I said with an evil grin.

"Who isn't? Except Jess. " Leia chuckled.

"Okay " she said call another unknown number with my phone.

" He-hello?" A broken voice .

We looked at each other and chuckled. I don't know.

" Hey man. It's me your girlfriend" Leia said. We were holding our laughter more harder. It was very very hard.

" Na-natalie ?" He said .

Before Leia could say anything he started talking again.

" Hey Nat. I am really sorry I didn't do anything. It was just a misunderstanding. She - Emma , she's my sister. " He sobbed. "I " sobbed more." She's my sister . I can't love anyone except you. Except you. " He sobbed more. We were just staring at each other. " I love you. Remember , when you kissed william in the party, I didn't say anything. And my sister said she missed me and you just left . You -" when he went to start again , I took the phone from Leia's hand and declined the call . We were literally listening to a stranger's person life problems.

" Whaat? Why did you declined? We were listening to this poor man's life story" Mary asked.

" Yeah . Exactly . A stranger's personal problems. Awww I am feeling bad for him." I said.

" That nigga is going through a bad time." Leia said . And Jessica nodded.

" Let's apologize to him by texting him a fake excuse. " I said. And everyone nodded.

Tom's P.O.V

"And my sister said she missed me and you just left. You-" I was crying over the phone and suddenly she declined. Wow.

This is the only thing I was scared of. I loved her so much and she left me without asking anything.

I placed my elbows on my knees , put my face in my hands and sobbed. How could she do that to me ? She didn't even ask me . Just threw the phone and went out. Oh god , I hope she's alright.

As I was crying, suddenly a notification came. I hurriedly picked it up thinking it's Nat , but came out that number. I thought it was her , but came out it wasn't. The text reads-

Unknown:
Hey man, I am sorry , my friend was drunk and  took my phone and called you thinking it's the number of her boyfriend. I am sorry if we bothered you . Sorry .x

I felt so ashamed after knowing that I flooded them with my miserable present life story. And specially felt bad , knowing that some people whom I don't know, knows my story. So replied back.

Me:
It's fine. I am sorry to flood you with my story. I should have asked about your identity. I am sorry.

I send the message and got a reply back.

Unknown:
It's fine. But are you okay buddy ?

Seems like you don't know what happened to me. But I felt good , knowing that someone who doesn't know me cares about me . Noice.

Me:
I am fine. Thanks for checking up. Goodnight.

Unknown:
Goodnight. Sweet dreams <3

I smiled by seeing that heart.

At least someone cares. Or doesn't...
