The Coronation Party

Ladies sang a tune, the tradition for the coronation of a new king or queen, blessing her through song, as Arendellians sat in chairs on the sides. Important guests, including the Prince Creek, were seated at the front.

DJ Suki stood, with a long red cape trailing down the center hallway. Poppy looked at her sister, barely standing still in excitement as Guy Diamond kept reminding her to not fidget.

She tore her eyes away from her sister, then looked into the crowd as the crown was placed on DJ Suki's head.

There Creek sat, a smile on his face, and for anyone that just met him (Poppy) it looked genuine. Poppy grinned back, and waved at him.

So, is this what love feels like?

She turned back to DJ as the ceremony began, and the officiant gave DJ the things she had practiced but failed to hold without freezing.

She thought she would get away with wearing gloves and taking the things, but the officiant lightly coughed, and said, "Your Majesty, the gloves."

She knew she wouldn't get away with it, but it was worth a try.

She slowly took off the gloves, and placed them on the pillow in front of her, and took a deep breath.

She took the things up.

The officiant started to talk about the vows that DJ would vow to do, and responsibilities that she were to carry.

DJ held her breath, fearing if she let it out, she'd relax and freeze the cup and staff she was holding. Ice was starting to creep up onto the items however, and she was anxious to put it down already. The moment he finished, she put it right back on the pillow in a flash and took her gloves, making the officiant jump back in surprise.

The gloves were quickly put on, and everybody shrugged it off, focusing instead on the crowning of the new queen, and clapped as DJ finally let out a sigh of relief.

Horns and trumpets sounded in the ballroom, the one which Poppy once sat in and thought that it was like all other castles and was just for show. (She'd asked Guy who told her that it was a ballroom, and he told her he liked how smooth the surface was. I think he regrets it now, considering Poppy now slides over the floors of the ballroom everyday which is a big safety hazard.)

Back to the point. The ballroom was filled with women in beautiful dresses, and men wearing suits, dancing along to the upbeat yet fast music. Poppy looked in from the outside in wonder. Wow, look at all the people! I've never seen so much people in the castle before! This is so exciting, I can't wait to go out there and dance like the rest of them!

The music ended, and everyone stopped dancing and clapped for... well, everyone. Pretty much all the women had danced with the men, and the same with the others.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present, Queen Suki of Arendelle!" Guy Diamond announced as the clapping died down, and everyone looked to the throne as DJ walked in nervously.

"Princess Poppy of Arendelle." He then continued, and Poppy rushed in merrily, and stood quite a far distance from her sister. Guy Diamond gently guided her nearer to DJ, and Poppy went, "Oop- oh, uh... there? Oh? Okay."

She waved to some people as the music started up once again, she looked at DJ and awkwardly pushed her hair back, stepping a step away, wanting so say something but was too shy.

DJ noticed. "Hey," she said, and that was all it took for Poppy to jump in shock. "Oh! Um... Hi!" She said with all the positivity she had.

"You look beautiful." DJ said in a calm voice, and Poppy really wondered how she did that. It was so cool. "Uh, thank you! You look beautiful-er. I mean, there's no such word, but you look- uh- more beautiful." She stuttered. Damn was she so different from her sister.

"Hehe, thank you." DJ chuckled, remembering all the good memories that they had for a moment there. "So, this is what a party looks like."

"It's warmer than I've ever thought!" Poppy squealed excitedly, and DJ interrupted, "What is that smell?" She was talking about the delicious smell of sweetness just floating in the air like a dream. They inhaled the smell, savouring it, "Chocolate." They said together, and laughed at the same time.

Poppy was about to say something when suddenly, out of the crowd the Duke of Weselton, (dude remember him anyone) came up to them and bowed, while Guy Diamond immediately rushed over and introduced, "The Duke of WeaselTown."

"Weselton! Duke of Weselton, your majesty," he corrected as he stepped forward, and suggested, "as your closest partner in trade, it seems only fitting that I offer you your first dance as Queen." He said to DJ, suddenly showing off some animal moves and awkward poses. He bowed deeply, accidentally having his "hair" rip off on the center to flip in front.

Poppy was going to laugh her head off, but stifled it as they looked at each other in amusement. "Thank you, but I don't dance." DJ replied, "but my sister does." She pointed to poppy.

"Oh! Lucky you." He dragged Poppy off, and she pouted, silently blaming DJ. She saw that and waved to her, mouthing the words "sorry".

The Duke made a chicken dance, then changed to a monkey, saying, "I'm a chicken with a face of a monkey!" And making clucking noises. Poppy thought it was weird but still went with it anyway. The Duke then stood up, spun her around rapidly,  and suddenly dipped her.

After a while, Poppy came back, her arms and legs sore from dancing. DJ commented, "Well, it looked sprightly."

"Especially for a man in heels."

"Are you okay?"

"I've never been better!" She answered, "this is, just... so nice."

"I wish it could be like this forever."

"Me too." She replied honestly. Suddenly she realised she wouldn't be able to hold back if she did so, and said, "but we can't."

"Why not?" Poppy asked curiously, reaching over to her sister.

"It just can't." DJ panicked, turning away from her to avoid seeing the pained look in her eyes she knew was going to appear.

Poppy stepped back. "Excuse me for a minute." And as she walked away DJ could swear she heard a sob. She looked at her sister guiltily as her figure disappeared in to the crowd.

It looks like I'll have to delay the publish of everything until I get my device back, so stay tuned!
