It was Sunday and I had no plans, but to lay around the house today. My dad is leaving to Hawaii today and he isn't taking me with him. What a jerk.

"Behave brat. I'll be home in a month." My dad opened the door and wacked my head.

"Why don't you leave forever? That is what we both want isn't it?" I talked back.

"LIsten kid, without me, you wouldn't have food in your stomach. You wouldn't have a roof over your head. You wouldn't be anything without me here. Now learn how to educate yourself." My dad slammed the door.

I peaked out the window and saw a woman pull up on the driveway. My dad got a new girlfriend? She put the U in ugly! She can't even apply her mascara right. She more than ratchet. I searched through my contacts on my phone and decided to call my friend Greg over.

"Greg! Can you come over?"

"Why did you have to wake me up in the middle of a beautiful dream?"

"GRRREEEEEGGGGG!!!!! Please come over. PLLLEEAAAASSSEEE!!!!"

"Give me 10 minutes to change and 10 minutes to get over there you whiner."

Greg was like my best guy friend. He may be a total nerd, but he is the sweetest guy you can ever meet. He tutors me all the time, but I don't like doing the work at school. He reminds me all the time that education is important. I know education is important, but I don't need the grades in high school when I got the college in my brain. All thanks to geeky Greg.

In the mean time, I cleaned my room and headed to the dollar store. Nothing is more fun than watching Disney movies with snacks. I grabbed one of everything from every isle in the small store. Candy, chips, soda, ice cream, dip, and cookies. I grabbed 5 bottles of water for Greg. He doesn't drink soda.

I payed for everything with a total of 25 dollars. Dang, I got a lot of food. I walked back home and saw a lazy Greg lying down on my front porch.

"Hey Greg!" I yelled.

"Hey Megan. What do you need me for?" Greg asked.

"We are going to watch Disney movies and other cool stuff." I opened the door and dropped the bags on my couch.

"I'll help clean." Greg said.

Greg is like a mind reader! He knows exactly what I am thinking of. We cleaned up beer bottles and chewed up cigars.

"So how are you and your father?" Greg smiled hoping for a good answer.

"Miserable. He pulled me by my hair and wacked me across the head." I groaned.

"I see. You know, my mom and dad and I could always call the police to solve this problem. We all love you as if you were a family member." Greg smirked.

Greg was always so sweet to me. He knows my problem and that I am a trouble maker, but I always declined his offers. I don't want him to get hurt in this kind of situation.

"You know I don't want you to get hurt Greggy." I mopped the floor looked at him.

"Love, you know I am always there for you. Just please, let me help you." Greg grabbed my shoulders softly and looked at me with his hazel eyes.

I felt like I was in a romance movie. Wait, I don't like Greg that way! He is just a friend.

"If it gets to far, I will let you know." I hugged Greg with his strong long arms.
