12. Betraying The Betrayer

“This will be done. I hope you will give money soon.” Shyam heard the reply from other side and continued.

“Okay then. I will see you in the hospital.” He said and hung up the call.

Currently, he was standing outside the gates of Raizada mansion. The work for which he left is half pending. Arnav is all fine and he still didn't get hold of his property. But his deal for the child is done and he will get the money for that soon.

He is smart enough not to open his own back account. He takes money either in cash or transfer it into Anjali's account. Hence, Arnav always thought that Shyam always gave some money to Anjali.

The sun was hidden behind the clouds today. Payal left Raizada mansion yesterday and Khushi will be leaving in two days or so. Chandni hasn't come today as she is spending time with her family.

Advay is in his room working continuously. Arnav is in guest room, trying to work but is not able to. Khushi is in Arnav's room preparing to leave and checking courses, etc. Akash left for the office in morning. He needed a distraction, very badly.

Shyam entered the mansion. No one was in the hall. Anjali was coming down with an empty jug in her hand. The very sight of Shyam boiled her blood. Her face turned red in anger.

“I won't leave him! I-” She muttered angrily but then stopped.

‘No Anjali! Control! He is still your husband legally.’ She thought and calmed herself down. Putting a smile on her face she walked down. This is the time, he taste his own medicine.

“You returned Shyam ji? When?”

“Just now. Where is everyone though?” He asked, confused.

Anjali suddenly noticed the gloomy air in the hall. No, no! He should not even get a single clue of what happened behind him.

“I will call everyone now…”

“Ranisa-” He was interrupted by Anjali as she started to call out everyone.

“What happened Di?” Advay asked standing at top of the stairs. Then he noticed Shyam and looked at Anjali. She blinked her eyes in assurance. He nodded slightly.

Everyone were having their own different thoughts on seeing Shyam standing over their but no one said anything.

“It's almost time for lunch. Shyam ji, I think you should freshen up.” She said, as if nothing have happened yesterday or few days back. Shyam nodded and went upstairs.

“I suppose that you all will act as normal as nothing has happened. I don't want him to get suspicious. At all!”

“But Anjali..”

“No Mami ji! Just do as I say!” She said, strictly.

She ascended the stairs and met Advay. He looked at her worriedly.

“Don't worry Cheeku. I will be fine.” She said and limped towards her room, determined, her head held high.

Arnav entered his room to see Khushi glued to the laptop. He smiled looking at her. She didn't acknowledge him as usual.

“Khushi…” He cleared his throat, starting.

“Shyam is here and Di wants us to act all normal. You know… so, I will be staying here and not in the guest room.” She looked up from her screen, glaring at him.

“I will not disturb you at all. I will just come here in night and sleep on the couch. That's all!” He spoke hastily. She looked back at the screen. He sighed and went inside washroom.
