Text: Acts 18:25&26
Minister: Bro Solomon Dare Julius

Today, I have many matters on my heart
I'll list them and we would trust God to take us into whatever depth we can go

- Accuracy
- Balance
- Discipleship
- Curses and ancestral or transgenerational battles
- Marriage matters

These were laid on my heart & I would address them as God permits in the time available & allocated to me.
All of the matters listed above are important and none should be thought of as impossible or less important as long as you intend to grow & fulfil God's expectations for your life.
I know there are circles & people who say some of these are not necessary but we'll know when we get there what the scriptures say about them.
Let me start.
ACCURACY
My anchor scripture would be Acts 18:25&26 and my main character would be the brother, Apollos
Acts 18:24-26 NASBS
Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures. [25] This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with the baptism of John; [26] and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

I started from 24 that we might know the character in our discuss. Verse 24 also have the spotlight on the personality of Apollos. We know his origin & background. Also, his personal characteristics were mentioned including the fact that he was eloquent.

Let me point out that eloquence does not equal accuracy. Eloquence is not on the same table as Accuracy. Though, we should desire to be eloquent but, we must not all the way forget that eloquence can be gathered by practice and the carnal man can be more eloquent than a spiritual man.
I realized that many people have believed what some people or ministers said because they were eloquent. A man can eloquently teach & preach error. We should be eloquent in declaring the truth. But, we must come to table & tabernacle with accuracy!
NB: By eloquence here, we are not talking in light of utterance but in light of persuasiveness of speech & fluency of communication.
That's our context of eloquence here.
Some men have mastered the art of persuasion & would make you do anything or believe anything but what we must discern is accuracy.
Apollos was also mighty in the scriptures.
When the writer of Acts talk about scriptures here, you must understand that he's not talking about the Bible as we have it now...
He is referring to what they have then
Luke 24:44-45 NASBS
Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." [45] Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,

Luke 24:25,27 NASBS
And He said to them, "O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! [27] Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

So, the scriptures are the law of Moses, the prophets and Psalms. That was what Apollos knew, that was what Jesus knew, that was what Paul knew and drank from, from where they saw Jesus. Apollos was instructed in the way of the Lord through the scriptures and he knew the scriptures.
Let me ask you bro & sis, how much scriptures do you know?
A translation says he's well versed in the scriptures... You cannot avoid being versed in the scriptures.
Visions are good, dreams, Angelic visitations & all other prophetic encounters are good but sir, you must be well versed in the scriptures.
Let's continue
The man Apollos was instructed in the way of the Lord, he's fervent in spirit & he was speaking & teaching ACCURATELY the things concerning Jesus.
Guess what? He only had the The law of Moses, Palms & the prophets and he could stand accurately in what he knew.
What is accuracy.
Other words used for accuracy in the scriptures include exactness, fullness, thoroughness, wellness.
Let me communicate something to us, many of us failed when the Spirit was thrusting us into depths wanting to bring us into the place of accuracy!
Accuracy is the ability to hit a matter at the same point where God hits it.
It's not about knowing too much scriptures at times, (you MUST know as many scriptures as possible in your lifetime) it's about the ability to see a matter the same way God is seeing it.
Accuracy is being able to set your heart in right consonance with God while addressing a matter either personally, generally or even as a minister.
Though Apollos was not equipped with our Cannon of both Old & New Testament which gave us easy balance, the scriptures judged & God through the scriptures saw him as an accurate man.
He didn't swerve off the handle to the point that disciples will start to correct his errors.
Accuracy delivers you from errors.
As we grow, we tend to be zealous & eager so we tend to make mistakes swerving away from the heart of God which should be our concern.
Accuracy preoccupies you with the same interest that God has.
If you look at Jesus' life, you would wonder how He handles issues with the same gravity on God's heart so much more that God could identify with every of his actions.
Sometimes, you see Jesus rebuking, sometimes, compassionate, sometimes, answering questions with questions, sometimes, working miracles... Not different Jesus, same one. (By sometimes, I don't mean He stops doing them but I mean that's what the scriptures display to us)
He knows what to do & how to do it with precision, with accuracy.
This is the testimony of men as regards Jesus' accuracy.
Mar 7:37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well; he even makes the deaf hear and the dumb speak."
He did all things accurately, with precision, with thoroughness.
When we say precision, we set precision with regard to the heart of the Father.
Men, ungodly men can at times perceive accuracy.
Falling into errors personally or in your teachings wastes time.
The more you are close to the heart of the Father, the more you get accurate
Joh 8:38 I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father."

Joh 5:19 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, that the Son does likewise.

Jesus unveiled the secret of an accurate life & ministry.
He has learnt to do whatever He sees the Father doing.
So, we are in certain regards SEERS... We are to see what the Father is doing & replicate it as it is such that as it is in heaven, so it is on Earth
No addition or subtraction, no amendments... Accuracy is replicating the deeds of God, it is mimicking God.
Oh, how I desire to live accurately & become more & more accurate.
There are levels of accuracy for Priscilla & Aquila hold more depth of Accuracy.
They communicated another depth of accuracy to Apollos & that's because they were custodian of that which is more accurate.
Many of us can sense errors but don't know the solutions because you must come into more versed sphere where you become more accurate. In that light you can stand to correct errors & not just see that something is wrong.
This is true of our relationship with God & discernment of His will for our lives.
This is true of our ministrations.
This is true of our lives and behaviour in this world.
Oh to handle the heart of God accurately.
Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king; of whom he testified and said, 'I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.'

Oh how I desire to walk with God in such depth of accuracy such that either consciously or unconsciously, I am a man of accuracy.

Let's take some moment in prayer.
Lord, cause me to be accurate & live accurately. Let me ascend from one depth of Accuracy to another. I want to leave an heritage of accuracy for my generation & beyond.
I want my children to look at me and behold how accorded & perfected I am in the will of God.
I want my life to be characterized with much accuracy.
I want to be accurate in my knowledge of You, my discernment of Your will, my path & part in You.
I don't care how much it costs me, let me stand accurate in Your will at all time
Jesus, help me!
Purge me from every inaccuracy. Purge me from every corruption & death!
Jesus, help my heart & purge my convictions
Help me Lord!

In Jesus name we have prayed.
And dear Father this night, we've come to tender our hearts' plea to You, we've come to place before you what is heavy on our hearts, what is our request from You and that is not gold, not silver, it is that you cause us to be accurate, to accurately stay on the things that You've communicated to us, both in life and ministry, we want to handle the matters on Your heart accurately, we want to hit the things You are hitting the way You are hitting them, we don't want to add to it or subtract from it, we want to do the things you're doing the way You're doing them, we want to say the things You're saying the way You're saying them, we want to relate with things the way You are relating with them. We don't want to handle things too hard or too soft, we want to be in the same measure with You, dear Father this is our cry & request, we ask that this be done to us in Jesus name. We do not care how much it costs us or how much things we leave behind or how much time we have to spend until You have purged error from our soul, until You have delivered this soul from corruption, we ask that this be done to us in the name of Jesus. Lord as we go to bed, cause us to strive more in the place of prayer, in the place of studying the word, in the place of knowing the scriptures, becoming vast in the word in the name of Jesus. Thank You Father. We receive this help tonight in the mighty name of Jesus, thank You Jesus. For we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Let us spend much time in the presence of the Lord, praying and studying the word, the Lord helps us in the name of Jesus, Amen.
