𝙽𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚜𝚊𝚔𝚒, 𝙹𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚗Michelle Higachi jus wants to sleep in. Is that too much to ask? "Come on sweetie, it's time to wake up. You don't want to miss the first day back at school, do you?" Her mother apparently believes so.
"No, I guess not," Michelle sighs. She never had the same hyper energy as the kids her age. At almost 5 years old, all she wants to do is sleep and hang out with her best friend, Shoto Todoroki.Michelle climbs out of bed and sits on the floor. Her mother hands her her school uniform, waiting to help her change into it if needed. Michelle easily got her arms through their respective holes but couldn't get the shirt over her head. Her mother happily helps her.
The walk to the living room hand-in-hand where they meet Ken Higachi patiently waiting with his camera. Michelle's father sets it up on a tripod, then runs to be in the picture with his small family. They hear the click, then Ken walks to the other side of the camera to check their picture. "Well don't both my girls look so pretty," he says, making Michelle beam and her mother smile. "Come on girlie, time for school," He continues.
Michelle leaves her mother's side and grabs her fathers hand, letting him lead her to the car. He makes sure she's buckled in, then moves to the drivers side. He hops in, starts the car, and they're off. Michelle turns around in her seat and waves to her mom as they drive away.
They get to school and her father passes her off to her teacher, Osada Tokaji. "Bye daddy!" Michelle calls out as her dad leaves the small classroom. Once he's out of sight, Michelle walks to her seat in the middle of the classroom. She sits down and the bell rings, signaling that the second semester has begun.
Tokaji-Sensei takes his place in front of the class and quickly writes a question on the chalk board. What is a hero's quirk? Michelle's hand shoots up, signaling she knows the answer. Of course she does, her father is a pro hero his quirk must be correct. Tokaji-Sensei points to her and her hand falls. "Hallucination! That's my daddy's quirk, and he's a real hero!"
A look of dissatisfaction crosses Tokaji's face. "No, Higachi, Hallucination is a villain's quirk. No matter who it is used by," he states.
Michelle frowns. What's wrong with my daddy's quirk. He's really cool!
"What's so bad about Hallucination?" Michelle asks. Her teacher walks to her desk as if to talk specifically to her, but still speaks with a voice loud enough for everyone to hear, "People with Hallucination as a quirk go into peoples' minds. Minds shouldn't be tampered with. Doing so is an evil thing."Michelle closes her eyes, a small tear trailing down her cheek, and when she opens them again, they glow blue. The teacher's eyes widen in fear, as if he was seeing something no once else could. Tojaki backs away from Michelle, shaking in fear. He walks backwards towards his podium in front of the class, hitting a few desks along the way. Every time he hits a desk, he flinches as if being hit with something sharp.
The class can tell he is obviously seeing something horrible, but none of them know what. Michelle stands up from her seat, maintaining eye contact with Tojaki. The class begins to murmur about her, discovering that it is her causing the teacher pain.Once at his podium, Tojaki feels around until he finds two sharpened pencils. He looks around frantically and starts talking to himself. "No. No. No. No. Go away. GO AWAY!" He screams. He takes one pencil in each hand and shoves them into his eyes. He screams again, this time in pain, as blood begins to pour down his face.
At this, the class begins to scream and Michelle realizes what she has done. She sits back down in her seat and squeezed her eyes shut, covering her ears with her hands. What did you do? WHAT DID YOU DO! He was right, Hallucination is evil.I'm a monster.
