𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐄 ❷ ⓿ ❷ ❷The big Givenchy slides paired with Nike tube socks walked along the European white oak floor, approaching the large pivot door. His big, veiny hand wrapped around the long vertical handle and stepped outside to the afternoon breeze wearing Givenchy flocked-logo sweat shorts with a muscle fitting long sleeve tee just as the Mercedes sprinter pulled into his driveway.
"Dad!" Hanging out fully raised down window, Avant excitedly waved at his father and the sprinter was barely parked when he hopped out of the passenger seat. He bolted towards his father with the Fendi backpack bouncing on his back and he hugged around his waist immediately.
Toby chuckled down at the nine year old. "You missed me, Pop?"
"Yeah! It was fun!"
The door of the sprinter slid open, revealing his mother and the other nine grandchildren. "Avant, I'm gon' kick yo' ass if you hop out another moving car mufucka." Ruth warned her grandson as she stepped.
"Uh-oh." Avant bolted in the house.
Toby snickered lowly as he approached the sprinter with his son's, nephew, and Lotus climbing out carrying their suitcases. He picked up drowsy Seona from Romeo as they walked by to the house and he noticed the expression on Hendrick's face.
"I hope me being here is okay," Lotus voiced to Toby. "I can call my Uber or Lyft now if—"
"You good, li'l mama." Toby reassured, "Whenever you ready to go just lemme or da' twins kno' and they'll drop you off. Ion' want you in no Uber or nothin'. Shit too dangerous. I'm glad you hea' tho', I wanna show you that spot you can do the mural."
Lotus nodded her head, sauntering to his house as Ruth watched her. "She's a wonderful young lady. Very well-mannered. She fit right in with everyone else; not afraid to speak her mind either. I tell you. She remind me of somebody, though."
"Momma, you'on kno' ha." he chuckled as they steadily stride along the pathway toward the front door as the sprinter backed out the driveway as Seona rested her head on her uncle's shoulder and sucking her stuffed elephant connected pacifier.
"Shut up, boy. She really does remind me of someone."
"Ain't no tellin'," he shrugged as he rubbed Seona on the back. "Where Tae and Shantey? What's wrong wit Guppie?"
