June 2nd, 2025 on a Saturday (Not real) Hopefully I do your idea justice. Thank you. I also wrote this on a computer fyi if it looks weird. Warning: Drowning! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thank you" we say in sync to the cashier.
I look to my side to see Raeven smash her fork into the funnel cake and take a huge bite out of it. She looks back up at me with the powdery white substance of sugar on her lips. As she licks it off I cringe. I look off to the side at the sunset. It has nice combinations of pretty orange, pinks, yellows, and purples. I look back at Raeven to see that she had finished her snack.
"That was quick" I said looking at the empty plate.
"No it wasn't, you were just to busy staring at the sun and burning your eyes" she responded with.
"There's some clouds in the way so it wasn't that bad" I say.
She rolls her eyes and looks away. I look ahead and of me and continue walking to the board walk. We continue to walk until we finally find a clear bench with no people. Raeven sat down with her legs together first, and sat down beside her and put my legs on top of her legs. She pushed my legs off with a small amount of force but it was still enough for my legs to swing off and hit the floor. The younger glares at me and I glare back. After glaring at each other for what felt like five minutes but was 10 seconds, she turned her head to giggle which caused me to laugh too.
"Come on, lets go look at the water and stuff" I say, ushering her to get up off the bench and walk with me.
She finally stood on her feet with a groan, lazily swinging her arms at her sides. I ran to the edge of the boardwalk to get a better view of the water. Taking off my shoes and socks and setting them beside me, I stick my feet into the water. For some reason I start to hear loud footsteps to I move over to the side a little and look behind. Next thing you know, I see Reaven falling face first into the water with her arms out.
"I guess she was trying to push me in" I thought to myself.
