It is one of the blessings of old friends    that you can afford to be stupid with them.

Same day, 3:15pm

The ring of the phone pulled Nandini out of her memory lane of the canteen incident with Manik, as she looked around to find Rishab examining the basketball collection kept inside a glass cabinet at one end of the court.

She sighed, a smile creeping onto her face remembering how Manik and she used to fight day and night back in those days. Not like they don't now. But the distance obviously creates some gap in their friendship. How she wishes all of them to be back together the way they were nine years back. But she too knows that all have their work committments to follow.

Picking up the phone she found it was from the hospital to notify her about the meeting she had with her seniors today. She palmed her forehead remembering that she has to rush now and went up to call Rishab.

" Rishi. Lets go. We need to hurry. I have some work."

Rishab nodded and followed her as she made her way back into Shivaay's cabin to find her parents still engrossed in their chats. She walked up to them silently and cleared her throat to gain attention.

" Umm...I apologise for the disturbance Uncle. But I really need to hurry now. I have a meeting scheduled at 5 and before that I need to drop Amma Appa home.", she said in an apologetic tone only to earn a chuckle from Tej.

" When will you stop with this proffessionalism of yours? I have already told you there's no need to be formal with me. You are like my daughter Nandini.", Tej said and Nandini smiled. " Maybe I can't get over the fact that you were our strict trustee once.", she said and others chuckled.

Soon they bid them bye and walked up to the parking. Nandini was telling her Appa about something while Ishita and Rishab walked behind them. Reaching their car, they got in and zoomed off towards their home.

" Raman did you search for a suitable hostel for Rishu? Or are you thinking of the SPACE one where Nandu lived?",  Ishita asked and Nandini frowned.

" Why will he live in a hostel? He'll be living with me na?", she said and Raman and Ishita turn to her with confusion.

" How will he live with you Nandu? You live in a one room apartment. Theres no space for two.", Raman said and Nandini sighed. " Appa...don't you remember I talked to you about buying an apartment?", she said still concentrating on the road while Raman looked at her. Soon his expressions changed to shock and he yelled.

" You bought one? When?", he asked in shock and even Ishita and Rishab's eyes widened. While Nandini looked slightly irritated.

" Appa.. why don't you agree that you're growing old?", she said and Raman glared at her as Ishita and Rishab giggled. " What do you mean by that young lady?", Raman asked, slightly offended and the three laughed more to his annoyance.

" That I had informed you when I bought that apartment 7 months back. It's spacious enough to accomodate all of us. We had a proper discussion about it back then and you say you don't know?", she said and Ishita glared at Raman who smiled sheepishly on realisation.
