"Can you check, whether he is looking at me?", Jay asked for the hundredth time today. I was frustrated with the same question, I replied in a calmer tone, "No, he isn't." We were in the middle of a lecture, when Jay wanted to know whether her Knight was looking at her or not. This ritual had been going for a month now.
It all started One Fine day, the same way things are calmer before a hurricane. Jay and I sitting in our usual seats, minding our own work, then Kitty joins in and asks Jay to sit with her for a while. I was okay with the newly made arrangement and kept continuing my work.
After a while, Jay returns to her seat, with an unexpected, surprised expression, which I had never seen on her face before. She started telling me what had happened, Kitty had told her that the "Knight" (our hero from before) likes her and wants to know her thoughts. He sent a letter through Kitty, which I guess said, "I Love You", because Jay wouldn't let me see.
Though I for one, never liked the guy, he kind of had a bad reputation among teachers. The one who teachers called, good egg gone bad. And, sure as hell, the whole school knew he was obsessed over the most popular girl of our school.
