A few years went by in a blink of an eye. After graduating from college, Jimin and Jungkook had gotten an apartment together from Seoul as they started working toward their goals. The blond had been scouted by a reputable dance company, and his work ethics, kind personality, and good looks quickly made him popular among the other dancers. He was very well-liked and in many contemporary performances, was the centerpiece.

Jungkook couldn't be more proud of his lover. Even though Jimin had to spend most of his time practicing, the younger male only encouraged him to strive. He worked as an assistant for a model photographer for two years while also doing some freelance on the side before Jimin one day told him his company was looking for a new photographer for the dancers. Jungkook had applied, and with his portfolio and test shoots being very successful, he got the job. The deal was great because they could see each other a bit more during the day whenever Jimin was due for a performance and needed his picture taken in stage outfits.

They had been working under these circumstances for over five years. Jimin had risen to become one of the most famous dancers in all of South Korea thanks to his charm on and off stage. He was well known also for the many modeling campaigns he had done over his career. As they were known to be a couple, Jungkook was often hired to do the photoshoots for their great chemistry.

But their chemistry was even better on camera. Sometimes they were both asked to model for a brand. Jungkook's striking features matched Jimin's well, and the two of them together often made a very effective impact on people.

With their busy schedules, the couple valued their free time. As their wealth grew, they bought an apartment together from a high-end neighborhood in Seoul, a notable upgrade from the one-room dorm they used to live in back in college. Both of them were excited; it was going to be their 10th anniversary soon, and they had taken a day off for that occasion months prior.

"So, what's the problem?" Taehyung asked before stuffing his face with rice. He had lunch with Jungkook once in a while when their schedules matched. He was in the middle of filming a drama which was to be aired later that year. "You've been together for ten years, I think Jimin would say yes no matter how you'd ask."

"I know that, hyung," Jungkook pouted while poking his kimchi with his chopsticks. "But I need it to be special. He likes simple things, so I can't like... make it a public spectacle or anything." He glanced at his watch and grimaced when he saw the time, quickly continuing to eat. His next shoot was in half an hour.

"Then do something cute at your place or something," the elder man sighed, bemoaning his fate of being the victim of his friend's whining even after ten years. "You used to have those trashy takeout evenings in college, right? Decorate your living room with fairy lights or some shit and watch a movie. Have you got the ring already?"

"That's actually a really good idea," Jungkook said. They hadn't had dates like that after they got busy, preferring to go out or have sex when their schedules allowed it. "Yeah, I bought a ring last month. Don't worry!" he quickly added. "It's not an ugly band with a huge diamond, I'm not tasteless."

"Good," Taehyung simply said.

Jimin woke up well-rested. He yawned and stretched his limbs, hand fumbling around the bed to find his lover's warm body. January was cold, and the blond preferred Jungkook's body heat over any blanket. When he couldn't find the man, he opened his eyes to find the bed was empty. He frowned, having looked forward to waking up next to Jungkook without the pressure of getting up.

He stood up and put on his slippers, opening the curtains to let in the morning sunlight. After a quick trip to the ensuite bathroom, he made his way out of the master bedroom. The hallway was dark, but Jimin could see a yellow glow coming from the living room.
