Violating Laws

Busting into the underworld had been easy so far, not a single person noticed them. "We got to check Elysium." Jason chimed, his suggestion was met with mumbles of agreement and nods of heads. Just as they entered Elysium, they spotted Bianca.

"Bianca!" Nico screamed in joy and raced toward her.

"Nico?" Bianca said in disbelief. Then for a second, everybody couldn't help but smile. Bianca and Nico hugged together fiercely, shedding tears of joy.

"Well," Jason said and cleared his throat, "I hate to interrupt, but we're here on a quest. You can join if you want."

"Quest?" Bianca asked and repeated the words dreamily, as if they were magical spells. "What quest? Is it about Percy's death?"

"Yeah, did you see him?"  Annabeth asked, her voice filled with sorrow and desperate hope.

Bianca's face darkened. Last time I saw him, he was talking incoherently and looked frantic. She pointed her finger to the rocky, dark, lava filled mountains. "He went there, I could help you though." And so the eight gained a new demigod and marched forward, to find Percy. After a couple of miles uphill, they spotted a demigod in a ragged Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, kneeling on a rock, a celestial bronze sword in his grasp, aimed toward... his stomach.

"Percy!" Annabeth screamed and raced forward. Percy looked back, his face twitching, but bearing a mask of pain and sadness. Just as Percy was about to plunge the blade into his stomach, Annabeth caught the sword and wrestled it out of Percy's firm grasp.

"Please," Percy begged, "no time *choke*, she's trying to *cough*, take control."

"What's wrong?" Frank asked.

"Please." Percy begged, tears sliding down his eyes. Suddenly, he fell limp. Annabeth pulled him up. But when Percy looked back, his eyes weren't sea green any more, they were gold, pure gold.

"What's wrong?" Leo gasped, and stepped back, clutching his chest as if he were having a heart attack.

"He's, Percy's being possessed by Gaea." Annabeth choked and jumped back a few feet, her hand reaching for her dagger.

"That's right." Gaea spoke, slowly and leisurely. "And you fell into my trap, little demigods."

"Get out of his body you old h-," Leo insulted, but Percy, no Gaea brought his sword down on Leo. Quick as he is, Leo swiftly jumped out of the way. "Don't mess with Team Le-," but as Leo spoke, Gaea stabbed him in the gut.

"Agggghhhh!" Piper screamed in frustration, and raced forward, standing over Leo's body protectively, which was groaning in pain, muttering curses. "Don't you dare." Piper warned, her voice steely cold. "You will leave Percy's body."

"I will leave Percy's body?" Gaea repeated confusingly. But Piper had fallen for Gaea trick, before Piper could act, Gaea swung Percy's sword and slashed a bloody gash on Piper's face, who collapsed over Leo's corpse.

"Don't touch my girlfriend." Jason said, his voice calm. The demigod then clashed with Gaea, who probably had all of Percy's skills(which was a lot), fought back. The blades clanging and banging. Even though Jason fought with all of his skills, Gaea prevailed. With a humongous force, she smacked Jason in the gut with riptide. Towering over the defeated demigods, she grinned a very un-Percy like grin, the golden eyes looking even crueler than usual.

"Hahaha!" Gaea laughed evilly, but her victory was short lived. Suddenly, a dagger sprouted from Percy/Gaea's stomach. "Hahaha," Gaea repeated, her laughter now weaker. Then her eyes rolled up and Percy/Gaea collapsed onto the ground.

"Annabeth?" Percy asked, now in firm control of his body, Gaea was forced out of power in his soul.

"Percy. Gods, I'm sorry." She said and wiped tears from her eyes. "I shouldn't have stabbed you, there must have been another way. I'm so, so, so so-"

"Shhh," Percy whispered in a barely audible tone, "you did the right thing." Blood poured out of the dagger wound, staining the red rocks even redder. Percy summoned the last of his strength and kissed Annabeth on the cheek. "Please, I need the dagger, Gaea's going to take over my body soon, after I killed her, she and I got a connection in our souls. Please." He pleaded with those sea green eyes.

"No, never." Annabeth cried. "We went through Tartarus together Percy, I've lost you once, I can't lose you again."

"No time." Percy groaned, a pool of blood spreading below him. "Please, you can't have me forever."

"If your spirit dies this time Percy, you'll be gone forever Percy. Disappeared into the void! You'll be gone, forever, no coming back!"  Annabeth sobbed and hugged Percy tightly. "You don't understand,"  She whispered into Percy's ear, "I can't let that happen to you!"

"Please!" Percy begged again, the blood dripping out of his mouth. His body twitched, an eye blinking from gold to green. "She's about to take over, I can't hold her much longer." Annabeth looked at the blood of Percy, trickling down the mountain, Piper, Leo and Jason groaning in pain, then back to Percy's face full of sorrow. Then with her hand shaking, she handed Percy the dagger. Percy grasped the handle and stabbed himself in the chest. He howled in pain and his eyes glowed like a nuclear explosion.

"Percy!" Annabeth screamed and hugged him tighter. But his seaweed brain was no longer there with him. His eyes of no life stared up into the red, lava-like ceiling of Hades realm. Percy Jackson was dead, no, worst than dead, he was gone. G-O-N-E. Gone forever, there was no return, even the gods were helpless to save the savior of Olympus.
