"3..2..1.."

Small A/N - this is a long oneshot with over a 1000 words :)
= In honor of 2021 =

Anna's POV:

Today was a special day, aka the last day of 2020. It was New Year's Eve and I was so excited. Me and my friends were hosting an big party for everyone to celebrate and we even had flyers pressed and everything.

It was around 10 am and I took my usual morning shower and got ready for the day. I put on some makeup and chose my outfit for the day. I didn't do anything special than putting my hair  in ponytails since I liked it straight.

I put on some blue ripped jeans and a white cropped hoodie with my blue light glasses. I texted my friends in our group chat about the party.

I started driving to my best friend Emmi's house and picked her up.
We started catching up with each other as I drove to dunkin to get us some coffee.

"Oh and also, I invited some of the girls from my basketball team to the party" Emmi told me while I let my eyes on the road. "Well the more the merrier, this is gonna be a blast" I exclaimed as we were once again getting hyped up.

We talked about some of the details and the cost of everything. Since we were underage Julia's mom had been the one to book the place and me and my friends, the hosts, were gonna pay for it all.

We picked up the last of the stuff and I then started driving to our rented place. When we got there our other friends were already there. Ami and Julia greeted us and we walked into the big building. We took the elevator up to the twelfth level and walked into our place.

I looked over at Emmi and her jaw was on the ground, I was shocked too. The place was big and modern, the walls were white with some big windows and with a nice brown wooden floor.

It was also a kitchen, a bathroom and a bar with some sofas at the place. We walked around and started decorating and putting up all the snacks that were missing.

We started our big rented speaker and waited for our guests.

Ag's POV:

Me and my friends were planning on spending New Year's Eve together this year, since some of us were going back to college after the break we decided to spend all our time left together.

Me, Mia, Avery and Soph got ready at Mias house where we usually spent the night, so we already had all of our stuff there.

Avery was taking a awful lot of time in the shower but after what felt like an eternity I finally could go shower.

I hopped in and felt the cold water hit my skin. After I was done I put my hair in a messy bun, out on a black nice shirt with some beige pants. I sprayed on some cologne and walked out, waiting for the others to be done.

When we were ready we all hopped in Mia's car and headed to a restaurant, we had decided to spend our money on a nice dinner before the party.
We got there and waited for our food while doing some small talk.

Everyone was hyped up for the party and couldn't wait. Soph knew some people who was going but I was the one to get the invite from a girl in my basketball team.

Avery was doing that thing with her leg when it was bouncing up and down from her being so hyped and I couldn't help but laugh to myself.

We payed for our food and left some money's s a tip to our nice waitress.
Five minutes later and we were on our way to the party. We were blasting music in the car and we all were so excited.

When we got to the address we entered a big building with big windows. We took the elevator up to the twelfth floor just like the flyer said. The door stood open and we walked in looking around.

"Hell yeah this is what a real party should look like" Avery exclaimed and took Sophs hand walking out to the area where people stood dancing.

Me and Mia walked around trying to find something to drink and we ended up talking to some boys from the football team.

Some time later someone was shouting that it was only fifteen minutes left of the year and we could hear everyone get even more hyped. Me and Mia split up and talked to some random girls as we were trying to make friends.

Soon it was only around five minutes left and I remembered I didn't have a New Years kiss. I started walking around again but everyone seemed to have someone or wasn't interested.

Mia was standing by one of the windows while talking to a blonde girl and of course Soph and Avery was standing together.

After a minute or so people started to count down the seconds, I walked up to one of the big windows to watch the fireworks that had already started.

I looked around once again and saw a blonde pretty girl with blue eyes standing close to me. I decided to turn around and talk to her.

"Hey, unusual seeing such a pretty girl without a smile on her face" I said as I made eye contact with her.
"Well its hard to smile when you don't have anyone to kiss during the countdown" she giggled letting out a small smile.

"Well that's weird, what a coincidence, I don't have anyone to countdown kiss either. Would you like to be mine?" I asked politely as I could see a smile spreading across her face.

"Sounds good" she answered and walked closer to me.
"10!" The girl walked up to me.
"9!" I put my hands on her waist.
"8!" She moved closer.
"7!" I admired her pretty features.
"6!" She made eye contact with a smile on her face.
"5!" I stepped closer.
"4!" She put her arms around my neck.
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"

I took a step forward and put my leg between hers while she pulled me closer. I closed my eyes as I felt her soft lips on mine. I could hear the fireworks in the background and when we pulled away people were cheering and screaming "Happy New Years!".

I smiled and looked in her eyes.

"I'm Anna"...
