Bright Like Fireworks

First year

*Gwynevere's POV*

Today was the day I finally got to go to Hogwarts! I'm so excited but at the same time I'm deeply terrified, unsure of what house I will get sorted into has my head in a mess. I've made sure I have everything I needed multiple times but I shall check once more: owl, wand, trunk, and my new books. Yes it looks like I have everything. As I was checking my stuff I heard my mother call my name from the kitchen

"Gwyn are you all packed?" She asked as I could hear her all the way from up stairs

" I seem to have everything and I've checked multiple times to make sure" I replied

" Okay dear, Can you come here for a second?" She said

"I'm coming" I hollered into the kitchen

I wondered what she wanted to talk to me about, but whatever it was it was important because she put down her coffee cup.

" I wanted to make sure you know that no matter what house you get into, I love you and your house doesn't define you" she kindly said

Of course she would say that, she was at the top of her class in the gryffindor house. I just wanted to make her proud and that's exactly what I was going to do.

" I do understand this, but I want you to know mom, I'm gonna make you proud" as I replied she took my hand and look me in the eye

" You couldn't ever disappoint me."

After we finished that conversation I quickly went back up stairs to grab my stuff. I had a hard time bringing it all down the stairs but mom noticed and gave me a hand, we finally got it all down the stairs and loaded into the car. I had one last thing to do, Go say goodbye to my little sister. I made my way back up stairs and into Piper's room but when I saw her I realized she was crying.

" Are you okay sis?" I said in a very concerned way

" Oh yeah, uh, I'm fine"

I sat there for a minute and realized why she was crying, she didn't want me to leave. I walked over to her bed where she was laying curled up in a ball. I wiped the tears off her face and pulled her into a hug

"Its okay sis, it will only be a little while till you can join me at hogwarts, and besides i will only be gone for a few months" I said holding her tightly

" I know, I'm just gonna miss you"

" well you will just get a well needed break from me" I said and let out a little laugh " Hey, uh, do you want to come with us to drop me off?" I asked

" yeah, I would like that."

I let her out of the hug and we walked to the car where mom was waiting, as we got in I handed my sister a piece of candy then went to the front seat. I turned around for a split second to see she was enjoying her candy and had a slight smile on her face. We soon after made it to the train station.

"Hey mom, where's the platform?" I asked looking for an unfamiliar number of a platform

"Straight through that wall" she said as she pointed at a brick wall in between the two platforms

I quickly questioned if she was well because who the hell would tell their children to walk through a brick wall? I turned around and suddenly her and my sister had vanished, I walked over to the wall that my mother had said to go through and slowly stuck my arm out to see what would happen. I realised that my mother was correct & wasn't crazy, soon after I pushed the cart and myself threw the wall. My mother and sister were sitting by the 9 ¾ sign looking for me so I ran over with my stuff and mom helped me on to the train. Not long after that the train took off and
I was trying to find myself somewhere to sit. Suddenly the train starts to go faster and I found myself falling into this girl
