Picking a Fight: Bakugo x Reader

A/n - here is the first one I wrote a few weeks ago! Hope you like it!  Oh and real quick, your quirk is water control and you can also like create it from your hands.

As you were sitting there at your desk at the end of homeroom, you were about to lose your cool. The usual routine before the next class was Bakugo trying to pick a fight with someone in the class, and today, of course, that someone was you. He'd always annoyed you and pushed your buttons, but someone how you developed a small crush on the idiot. You had been the victim of his insults before, but for some reason, today was different; it was like he was throwing everything at you just to get a reaction or to just be an even bigger asshole than normal. You tried ignoring him but he just kept going.

"Wash-out, I'm going to kill you in basic training today! You're weak power will do nothing - "

At that point, you'd had enough. So you stood up abruptly, cutting him off, turning back to face him, throwing the worst death glare you could muster at him and yelled, "WILL YOU STOP BEING A SHIT FOR ONCE?"

Instead of throwing his devious smile at you, he immediately started tensing up and getting angry,

"WHAT DID YOU SAY? YOU LITTLE -"

You interrupted him by throwing a right hook, shocking everyone and even Bakugo himself. You knew he would get riled up and come at you with a strong right punch too (you learned that from Midorya), so you put up your left hand to block his aim and then punched him straight in the stomach, pushing him back a few feet. As soon as he was near the back wall of the classroom, Ida came up to try and push you away from him, but you just pushed him away. You walked toward him, ready to continue fighting when you went in for a left hook when your arm was blocked and you felt his fist meet your right cheek with all of his force and knocked you onto a desk nearby.

You felt a different pain than just if you were punched, so you felt the spot where his knuckles collided with your cheek and you felt a wetness there; you brought back your hand and there was blood on your fingers. You looked up at him with revenge and propelled yourself off the desk and pushed him against the wall, throwing a good punch or two (causing him to have a few cuts of his own), with him resisting no less. He was able to grab a hold of your (h/c) hair and pull you back, then pushed you down to the ground. You then shot right back up and stared down Bakugo waiting for his next move, when all of a sudden he just runs towards you, his hands ablaze and before you could get any water out, he threw a blast at your right arm. You felt the pain go up your arm and you looked at it, seeing he gave you a second degree burn.

"Come ooonnn, Wash-out, don't be a weak girl and actually fight me, how did you even get into U.A....," Bakugo taunted, knowing exactly what that would do.

Everyone was surrounding you two, trying to stay away but also trying to talk you down, but once he said those words, he was as good as dead. You then threw up your arms and blasted him with water, which he was prepared for.

You two threw shots of water and fire at each other for what felt like hours until you were about to get toasted by Bakugo's flames when all of a sudden there weren't any that came out. You both looked at each other, all beaten up and bruised, and then the door to see Mr. Aizawa standing there, with Ida next to him, knowing he had erased your powers.

"You two - come with me now."

You got to your feet fast trying to quickly leave when Bakugo pushed past you and walked in front and you begrudgingly followed.

Once you got to the ward, you were immediately met with a lecture.

"How many times do I have to tell you two not to fight in the main building, much less with your Quirks?" Mr. Aizawa scolded.

"Yes, you two are lucky you didn't get any more injuries, especially you, (Y/N)," Recovery Girl pointed at you, and you looked away out of shame and anger. You know what you two had done was wrong, but Bakugo deserved every bit of it.

That continued until she had healed most of your injuries, leaving the knicks on your cheeks like normal so you two would understand the lesson.

Since it took longer to get healed, you were both late to class with All Might, so you both walked together in silence. After a while of debating what you were going to say, you blurted out,

"What's your problem, Bakugo? You always seem to keep antagonizing me like you do with Midoryia-kun."

That made him stop in his tracks and just look at the ground in front of him, making you stop as well so you could look at him. He didn't say anything, so you kept talking.

"Today especially, you kept pushing and edging me on, trying to get my attention and -"

"THAT'S BECAUSE I WAS TRYING TO GET YOUR ATTENTION DUMBASS!" Bakugo yelled, interrupting you.

You looked at him confused, when he finally looked up at you and rolled his eyes,

"I - I don't understand..."

"Baka," he muttered under his breath and then walked straight up to you and intensely grabbed your fast and pushed his lips onto yours.

You were completely caught off guard but before you could even react, he pulled away, leaving you speechless.

"Huh, never thought I'd see the day where you were quiet," he joked and you punched him in his arm that was still sore and smiled.

Then you kissed him on the lips for a second and then you pulled away slowly, leaving him speechless. You then giggled whispered "race ya" and ran away, towards your class and then you heard him yell to you,

"Like hell i'd let you beat me, you damn extra - DIE!" and he caught up to you, making you guys race all the way to class.
