We went over to Stiles' place to pick up a couple of shovels. We were actually doing this. Stiles drove us over to a clearing close to Derek's house. We waited about half an hour until Derek got up and left. Stiles parked his jeep in the place where Derek had left empty for his car. Stiles basically fell out of the car, trying to find the area that Scott described to us. Scott and Stiles stood over at the supposed area as I walked up handing them their shovels. I grabbed my shovel, prepared to dig. To be clear, I'm not one of those girls who expect men to do things for them. Well in this case Scott and Stiles aren't even close to being men. I am not going to wait around for the two of them to dig up half of a body of some innocent girl. Besides, without me they'd get into all sorts of trouble.
"Wait something's different..." Scott said as he started sniffing around.
"Different how?" I asked.
"I don't know, let's just get this over with." Scott mumbled before he started digging. Stiles and I followed slowly after.
We had been digging for about 15 minutes now, and I became hesitant that the body was even here. I looked at the hole that we had dug, and let me just say... It was huge. I looked over to Scott with a concerned glance.
"It shouldn't take this long." I remarked.
"We need to keep going." Stiles pressed as he continued to dig.
"What if he comes back?" Scott asked concerned.
"Then we get the hell out of here." I cut in, "I am not dying without watching a Harry Potter marathon with my brother."
"Well that won't happen if he catches us." Stiles said.
"Well what will happen if he catches us?" Scott asked scared.
"You run one way, I run the other... and Kaitlin holds him off." Stiles shrugged.
"I am not going to hold him off!" I snapped.
"He's not going to hurt you Lin... You're the best bet we've got to survive." Stiles said.
"You're betting on me?" I demanded, and Stiles immediately regretted his word choice.
"N-No, o-of course not. I was just sayin-" Stiles started.
"You're betting on the fact if Derek will hurt me or not?" I exclaimed.
"Technically." Stiles said.
"I like this plan." I shrugged, "I get to send Derek on his way to kill you." Stiles turned pale. "I guess since he's insane and thinks that we're family, then that means that I have some benefits. Should've thought about that Stiles." It went silent and we continued to dig and I looked at Stiles with complete and utter disdain.
"Oh! Stop, stop, stop." Stiles ordered.
Scott had hit something, it looked like a sack but it was covered in knots. Stiles jumped down into the hole to untie the knots, but he was failing miserably.
"Hurry." Scott rushed.
"I'm trying. Did he have to tie the thing in like 900 knots?" Stiles complained.
"Here, let me try." I jumped down into the hole and untied the knot. I threw the pieces of rope to the side and it revealed a wolf head. I screamed, and Scott helped me get out of the hole.
"It's a wolf?" Scott asked.
"What the hell? You told us that it was human!" I exclaimed.
"I thought you said you smelled blood, as in human blood." Stiles added.
