Y/N's POV
Today, the girls and I are taking Aiden kayaking before we leave Wednesday night."Mommy, mommy!!! We have to hurry or we're not going to get the best kayak!!" Aiden yells.
"Your daughter is a bundle of energy, isn't she?" Normani asks, smiling.
Aiden wanted to be bright and early for all the kayaks and wanted to get up at around six, but I calmed her down enough to let the girls and I sleep to ten in the morning.
"She's always like this," I tell."I can't believe that she almost had us up at six o'clock in the morning," Dinah says.
"She gets the morning person routine from my mother whenever she has to watch her," I tell.
We get down to the shore and Aiden immediately runs where the kayaks are stored. I see a lot of people around there and had to make sure that she was courteous.
"Slow down Aiden and be courteous!!" I call.
She does as I say and goes to look at the kayaks with some other children.
"So have you both been kayaking before?" Lauren asks.
"I have, but Aiden hasn't. She hadn't been old enough to, but now she can go." I tell.
"Can she swim?" Ally asks.
"She can. She was in the water yesterday with her friends." I tell."Mommy!! I found one!!" Aiden calls.
"Come on. We better go before she decides to go without us." I tell.
We go over to the kayak Aiden picks and grab it with two others for the rest of the girls.
"Since there is an odd number of us, three people will be in one. Who do you want to go with Aiden?" I ask.
She didn't answer so I looked around for her and see her getting in with one of her friends.
"I"m going with my friend's mommy!!" Aiden yells.
I roll my eyes at her and turn to the others.
"Looks like it's just us," I tell.
We grab our life jackets and move to push our kayaks into the water. Dinah and Camila took one, Normani and Ally got in the other, and Lauren and I took the last one. Lauren insisted that she row for us, so I instructed her on how. We went slow and talked as we went around the lake.
"Why did you get into the jewelry business?" Lauren asks.
"I've always loved jewelry. I would always see my mom wearing different styles of jewelry that she's gotten over time and wanted to wear them myself. I would wear her jewelry around the house all the time. I knew that I wanted to make the jewelry that people would want to wear." I tell."It's admirable," Lauren tells.
"What about you? Why become the CEO of a jewelry company?" I ask."It's my mother's company. She's the real jeweler of the family and I took over when she retired. I learned everything from her and loved it when I could learn something new from her." Lauren tells.
"Seems like our mothers got us into jewelry," I tell.
"I guess you could call us diamonds in the rough," Lauren says, cheekily.
I shake my head at that and giggle at it.
"That was so bad." I giggle.
"Yeah, that was kind of terrible, but you love it." Lauren laughs.
"HELLO LADIES!!!" a loud voice says.
We jump at that and look around us. We see Anna and Brittney on the shore with all the other kayakers pulling their boats to shore and a megaphone in their hands.
