BBC Merlin One-Shots

Chapter 1 (Reveal 1)

Arthur is king and Gwen is queen. No one is evil and no one is dead (other than Uther). Mordred is also a knight. Sorry if these are really short.

MERLIN'S P.O.V.

"Why do we have to go on patrol? Something bad always happens on patrol." I complain to Arthur on day in his chambers. We were about thirty minutes away from going on patrol and I was putting Arthur's armor on him.

"Merlin, stop complaining everything will be fine."

"Oh now you've really jinxed us."

-----TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE GREAT DRAGON-----

A battle cry rang through the trees. Everyone jumped off of their horses as I rushed to Arthur. Lancelot knew exactly where I was going so he helped clear my path.

I was back to back with Arthur using my magic when someone got too close Mordred had helped a few times knowing that I was Emrys and that I had to fulfill my destiny of protecting Arthur.

I felt a mace hit my chest when I jumped in front of Arthur and immediately fell to the ground. It wasn't too long until I was out cold

AURTHUR'S P.O.V.

I heard something hit the ground near me and turned to see Merlin out cold.

I grabbed him and dragged him to the center of the circle of horses. Once everyone else noticed us they worked to drive the bandits away faster.

Soon they were all gone and we set up camp and a tent for Merlin.

It didn't take long for us to get started on fixing Merlin up.

I removed his shirt and I could see the bruise from the mace, but what I didn't understand was why there were so many other scars on his body.

One looked like a ginormous burn mark and others looked like wounds from magical creatures.

Everyone went silent when they saw him.

To have something to do I started to treat his wound.

-----TIME SKIP BECAUSE WHY NOT-----

As he started to wake up everyone turned towards him except Lancelot and Mordred.

He looked around and said "Where are we?"

"I want to ask you a question first Merlin." I paused then added "How did you get all of those scars?"

He visibly paled then tried to stand up. I gently pushed him back down before looking at him for answers.

MERLIN'S P.O.V

Crap. Crap. Crap. He saw. He saw. "W-What sca-scars?" I said and confidently as I could. It came out as a stutter. Arthur raised a brow and stared at my pale face.

"Those scars Merlin we can see them right now."

I got up and grabbed my shirt moving over to a log by the fire while putting it on. Lancelot and Mordred were giving me pitying looks knowing what was coming next.

"Before I tell you the story, you need to know one thing... I... I was born with it and Arthur there is a difference between... between warlock and sorcerer." 

Everyone was quite until Gwaine yelled "I knew it! I knew it! You all owe Mordred, Lancelot, and I ten silver pieces!"

Iblinked before asking the knightss that had already known "Did you two tell him?"

"Nope he figured it out all by himself." Lancelot answered while Mordred nodded along with him.

Everyone looked at Arthur when he cleared his throat "So there is a difference between warlock and sorcerer?"

"Is that all you got out of it princess?" Gwaine asked then burst out laughing again.

Everyone joined him including Arthur and I knew that they had accepted it and would not execute me back at Camelot. "Merlin, I still want to hear the story."

This was going to be a long night.
