Chapter 6

It has been 5 years since Wall Maria fell due to the sudden appearance of the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan. Humanity has lost 20% of its population and a third of its territory and was confined behind Wall Rose as refugees. However, humanity had not lost to the Titans just yet.

As the Garrison was tasked with guarding the walls, and young recruits were being trained in techniques and knowledge to fight the Titans. It was around that time, the elite soldiers of the Scouting Regiment were attempting to once again set foot into the territory of the Titans via Trost District.

"Thirty seconds until the gates are opened! All personnel, prepare to depart!" Erwin announced. Many scouts have gathered in front of the gate of Trost District as the bells rang for their departure.

However, behind the Commander, a certain Titan maniac has grown impatient. "Geez, I'm tired of waiting." Hange said, before turning to her right.

"Hey, Levi-"

"No." Levi cut her off, already knowing what the section commander wanted to ask him with a deadpan expression. "I haven't said anything yet." Hange said.

"You want me to help capture a Titan with you, right? That's a waste of effort. I'll have no part of it. And don't even think of bringing her into your shitty Titan charade." Levi said. Hange knew he was indicating a particular petite, raven-haired woman who smiles 24/7 and claimed of wanting to be 'friends' with Titans.

She then turned to her other fellow section commander. "What about you, Mike? Want to give it a go?" She was then met the same response with Mike turning his head away as Hange sighed.

"The same old boring answer from the same old boring men." Hange said as the gates from Trost started to open up.

"The 49th Expedition Beyond the Walls begins now! Forward!" Erwin commanded. His white horse started galloping as many Scouts followed, leaving the safety of the walls once more. However, Hange has overtaken Erwin as she went ahead in excitement. "Hange!" Erwin called out.

"All you Titans out there, I'm on my way to meet you!" Hange said, her face filled with excitement.

Galloping right beside Levi's horse with an ever-present smile on her face is Sunako as she watched the eccentric section commander went past Erwin with exhilaration. "Ara ara, she seems excited." She said.

"Oh yeah? Don't even think of following shitty glasses. You're enough of a headache as it is." Levi said. his grey orbs glancing briefly at his second in command before looking straight forward. Mischief flashed in her Onyx eyes and asked, "Ara? do I have to prescribe medicine to ease that headache of yours?"

"Don't you f****** dare tinker with my tea, you brat." Levi said. He could already feel the mischief from her and may have known what she has in mind. "Aww, you're no fun. You know, that's why nobody likes you."

Levi clicked his tongue as the Special Operations Squad continued onwards, slaying Titans along the way.

After securing a supply point in a desolated town from Titans, since Scouts were tasked on a lookout while some are tasked on restocking. Sunako, on the other hand, checked the conditions of her fellow soldiers as well as collecting both medicinal and poisonous herbs to take back with her, although, the latter being discreet.

Her sharp hearing then picked up yelling from inside the Commander's tent as Erwin went outside of the tent and was followed by Hange, who called out to him. "Wait, Erwin!" But was ignored. She assumed that Hange was still trying to have the Commander to agree on an attempt to capture a Titan, alive.
