'Those blue eyes, those shinning blue eyes!' That was all Cherry could think of while she was in a deep slumber. Her eyes lightly fluttered open as she saw a white ceiling and a bright light in her face, "Ah! You're awake I see." She looked to her left to see a man no older than 25, he had soft caramel skin and pitch black hair that was a little messy, he worse a coat and a stethoscope around his neck as he could tell he was a doctor. "W-what happened?" Cherry asked the young doctor, "I was going to ask you the same question, although the man who brought you in was very kind but had to leave in a hurry." She looked confused as she remembered his blue eyes for what seemed like the millionth time in the past hour, she looked at the curious doctor and finally answered him while also trying to put the pieces, "I-I remember walking home when w-was about to get hit by a car when someone tackled me out of the way, I only remember his eyes before blacking out and waking up here." The doctor simply raised his eyebrows before smiling and handing her a card, "Well nothing seems to be wrong, no trauma or damage so you are being discharged and I'm giving you my card so in case anything is wrong... just call me, okay?" She could only look at the doctor and nod before he left as he read his card 'Dr. Abram Davis, he was nice!' the brown eyed girl thought before changing back into her old clothes and grabbing her stuff before leaving the hospital.

Once Cherry left the hospital and felt her phone buzz, her eyes shot open in shock as she saw had 15 missed calls from Nicole and 5 missed calls from Adrian, not even including the over 50 messages from the two combined. She felt bad and called Nicole, after about 3 rings she heard the worst sound imaginable, "WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK CHERRY!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU PICK UP!! I WAS TOLD YOU WERE IN THE HOSPITAL, WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME?!?! Nicole shouted as Cherry could only look at the floor and apologize before tearing up from the loud sound of Nicole's voice, "I'm sorry Nikki, I woke up only 2 hours ago, I'm really really sorry." She said with a soft, sad tone. "I'm sorry for yelling, I just got worried. Hey, why don't you come over and Adrian and I will make you a nice breakfast and we can talk okay?" Nicole said apologetically, "Sure, that would be nice." Cherry said with happiness, she hung up the phone and put it back in her pocket but not before feeling something metallic in her pocket, she took it out as she noticed it was a necklace in the shape of a cross with a piece of paper wrapped on it. She took off the note and read it, "If you ever find me, show me the pendant :)" She guess it was from the man that saved her the night prior and put the necklace on. She made her way to her best friends' place and knocked before the door swung open and was swarmed with hugs from the couple in the apartment. They brought her in and sat her down as Cherry explained everything from the almost disaster from the night before, "So this man... what did he look like?" Asked Nicole with a smirk. Cherry blushed but quickly lost it as she looked down, "That's the thing, I have no idea. I only remember his eyes, they were like blue pools of water with a light icy glaze over it." Nicole simply frowned over the fact that there was no gossip to tell about this mystery guy that saved her, Cherry chuckled at her friends reaction as Adrian walked in with some pancakes, milk, and some eggs with bacon and a mug of hot cocoa, "Here you go Cher! Hope you like it." He said in his deep smooth voice. She took a bite of it and felt satisfied after not eating for over 12 hours and trying to get out of the hospital, she looked at Adrian with a bright smile and continued to eat. After hours of eating and talking it was time for Cherry to head home but before she got to the door Nicole grabbed her keys and decided to take her home just to be safe. After Cherry got home she dropped on her bed and reached for the necklace and just stared at the cross, she observed it and even found the verse 1 Peter 4:8, she grabbed her laptop and looked it up as it read, "There is no fear in love". She smiled and held the cross tighter as she thought about his blue eyes once more.

-Timeskip 1 Year-

December 24, 2025

It has been 1 year since Cherry was saved by that man as she looked totally different and even felt different too. She grew her hair out to her shoulders, she became less introverted and even opened her own bakery 'Cherry on Top', she was widely known as the best baker in Richmond and everyone loved her food. Right now Cherry was walking down the street on her way to check on her bakery to go to work, she had a huge smile on her face until she ran into someone knocking her and the other person over. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry!" Cherry said sincerely, "It's fine! Don't worry it was my fault I wasn't looking." The mysterious person got up and stretched out their hand to help her up and when Cherry looked up she saw his eyes... it was him! The man who saved her a year ago today! He looked so familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it. "Hi, my name is Cherry! Cherry West!" He chuckled and spoke in his smooth but rugged voice, "Nice to meet you Cherry, my name is Mike! Mike Hamilton!" And that's when it clicked, the man who saved her... was Mike Hamilton... star football player who was the image of the perfect guy! The only question that went through her mind was... why?
