CHAPTER EIGHT ; THE FALL OF WATER WEARS THE STONE

He remembers how he loved the waters.

How the simplicity of the vast waters that takes a huge percentage of the living earth gave him a glorious amount of comfort and calmness. The reflection of himself above the water body mirrors the youth he spends learning and dedicating everything he had to master the said element.

The waters speak for his eyes, as both held the same color of deep sapphire. Once met, drowning will follow next. Both are in-depth manner, as far as he was concerned. He liked it, no, he loved it. It was a term he carried ever since he felt the immense force of the fall. The current dancing along with his inner thoughts. The shore that waits for his waves to come crashing.

He was simply in love with waters, that he tends to forget how treacherous it could be.

Once fallen in the fathomless pit, none will be saved.

Even the conqueror himself can be the victim of its own depth. The tides taking one's person under, and Tomioka Giyuu became the victim of it.

Who was he?

A newly appointed demon slayer. A man who wanted to revenge his sister who fell on the grasps of a demon. A man with a desire fulfillment to avenge his older sibling's death, and the only friend he had after descending from an abyss.

A man who loved and lost.

A tsunami soon surged. He wasn't even blinking that time when it came down. The crashing sound of a body tumbling on the ground, blood filling up the once clear blue water. It absorbs the red part of the spectrum, a taunting joint session he perceived. He wanted to laugh, but only a humorless chuckle resonated in his personal space.

Not realizing the sound of pounding on his wooden door. His eyes contrast the moon, glancing back at the door and whispering a 'come in'.

A short middle-aged woman wearing a flowery yukata and her almost gray-haired tied up in a bun came into the view, she bowed at Giyuu. "Pardon me," she uttered, "Tomioka-sama, it seems as though you will be sharing your room with another demon slayer as the other rooms are currently occupied by the other members."

The mentioned male slowly blink, taking all the words in before he could nod. He doesn't have a say in this, doesn't he?

The manor with a wisteria family crest is kind enough to let the members of the organization relax and rest until their wounds are recovered. They do it for free as the family was once rescued from a demon, bearing in mind that they are in-debt with sparring their lives from a monstrous being.

"Thank you for understanding, Tomioka-sama. Please do rest and I will deliver your dinner." the older woman exits the room with a silent thud, giving Giyuu the time to unfold the situation he was in.
