As soon as I took a puff of the joint, I felt a familiar sense of happiness whenever I get high. I've missed this.

"So, you live around here, or something?" Paul asked.

"Nah, I just arrived today. I bumped into Marko, fell on my ass, and now he owes me a new jacket. I guess this could make up for it though," I said, holding up the joint. Paul and Marko chuckled at the comment. I got a wave of butterflies again as soon as Marko laughed.

Goddammit, keep yourself together, Amber!

Marko looked at me and smirked again. Damn, is he some kind of mind reader or something?

"Amber, why don't you join us at our place. It's on Hudson's bluff, I think you'll like it." Marko offered.

Fuck. So, I meet these random guys, in a place I have never been, and they ask if I want to go to their place? I feel like one of those dumb teenagers in those horror movies who gets killed first. What do I do?

"Sure, why not?" I replied. I mean, they seem pretty nice, but then again, this could be a big charade, and I could end up getting hurt. Eh, I don't have much going for me anyway. "How do we get there? I don't have a bicycle or anything, and my feet feel like hell right now."

"Oh, that's not a problem, sweetheart. You could ride with me!" Marko exclaimed. Part of him is like a ladies' man, the other is just a fucking teenager. He seems pretty giddy right now, but before he seemed pretty smooth.

He grabbed my hand and started walking over to a bunch of bikes. All of them had cool wheels, one had solid spokes, and was filled. They had rugged wheels, with a lot of traction on them.

"Holy shit! These are your rides? That's fuckin' rad!" I exclaimed. Marko laughed and led me over to his. The rest of the boys followed behind, with a smug look on their faces.

Marko hopped on his bike and held out his hand. I swatted it away and laughed. I hopped on by myself. I put my feet on the small pegs and wrapped my hands around Marko.

"Well hot damn, you know how to ride?" Marko asked, with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah, I don't know how to ride by myself, but I know how to get on and shit. My dad had a bike, and I rode with him a lot. It was our thing before he died. My ex had one too. She always took me out to the movies on hers. Or we just rode around at night."

"Shit, You had a girlfriend...? I mean, nothing wrong with that, I've dated boys before. It just took me by surprise." Marko said.

"Yeah. I'm bisexual. I like both guys and gals as you do." I replied. I felt a bit better knowing that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

"Sorry about your dad, as well," He said as he patted my hands that were wrapped around his waist. This man has huge abs..."Ready, sweetheart?!"

"Yes sir!" I shouted as the others started their bikes. Marko started his and took off.

As soon as he revved the engine, and took off, he went fast as if his life depended on it. I held on tighter and closed my eyes. I've only ridden this fast with a helmet on. I don't have one anymore, but I'm not complaining.

I whooped and yelled, and some of the guys followed. I laughed at their response. David, however, seemed quiet. He seems like a guy you don't want to mess with. I mean, they all look like that, but David especially.

We rode on the beach and through a thick trail. Thankfully, they weren't road bikes and were meant for this terrain. I held onto Marko tighter when it got bumpy. I'm surprised that he isn't suffocating yet.

All too soon, we reached Hudson's bluff. I hopped off the bike and followed Marko. He was leading me into a cave of some sort, with "DO NOT ENTER" signs all over. I continued and Marko led me down some dark steps.

"Holy shit! This is your guy's place! This is so cool!" I exclaimed. There was a huge Jim Morrison poster, and it looked like he was staring into your soul... it was creepy, but cool none the less. Marko lit a small torch and began to light a few barrels and candles to give it some light. There was a fountain in the middle, but it had no water, not surprising.

Still taking in the beauty of the place, David spoke up.

"This place was a hit hotel around 80 years ago. Unfortunately, it was located on a fault line. When the big one hit San Francisco, this place fell right down into the crack," David said.

"One hell of a backstory, that's for sure!" Paul laughed.

"Yeah, we kind of made it our own place," Dwayne called out. His voice was pretty deep, and it kind of shocked me, since I haven't heard his voice before.

David sat in an old wheelchair, and Dwayne started to skate a bit.

"Dwayne, why don't you order some pizza. Amber, what kind do you like?" David said.

"I just like cheese. I'm not a big fan of all that extra stuff, thanks!" I smiled.

"Right on it, see you guys soon," Dwayne replied and headed off. He seemed a little disappointed, I think he wanted to skate.

It was kind of quiet, I wish there was some music.

Paul suddenly got up and played some Bon Jovi.

"Damn, can ya'll read minds or something? I was just thinking that we needed some music in here!" I said.

"You can say that," Marko replied, as he slung an arm over my shoulder and led me to a couch.

I laid into his shoulder and laughed quietly. He was so comfy, and his jacket was so soft. I could just stay here all night.
