"Umm, George?"
George turned from his locker to see a girl who he vaguely remembered was in his class. "Yes?"
Staring at the ground, she blushed heavily. "I wanted to show you something. Here." She awkwardly held out a folded piece of notebook paper to him.
George took the paper from her hand. He only needed to glance at it once to confirm his suspicions. A poem.
"Is this your English homework?"
The girl froze. "What-"
George interrupted her. "Because if it is, you should ask someone else to read it. I'm no good at poetry. Sorry."
He pressed the paper into her hand, she looked too confused to object.
George walked away from the girl, sighing. He was glad he didn't have to reject her outright. Love letters were a complicated thing.

The prompt is : Turn your last text into a story
My last text was "Oh, I'm sorry but I'm not all that into poetry. Sorry I can't help."
I like this one-shot quite a bit. I had trouble coming up with ideas for this since I had to somehow include poetry of all things, but I think I ended up with a pretty good story! It's 133 words, so I'm glad that I was able to keep it contained within the word limit. I had a pretty good time writing this and I'm excited for next week's prompt! (I said I way too much in that paragraph lol)
