2 months after returning from their honeymoon Sophie woke up nauseated and wanting to be ill. She didn't think anything of it and slowly crawled out of bed and immediately had to rush to the bathroom. This went on for about a week and then Sophie called the doctor. She explained her symptoms and the doctor asked if she could be at the office within an hour as one of her appointments was canceled. Sophie called Xander at they animal shelter and let him know that she was going to see the doctor. So Sophie got dressed

and drove to the appointment and walked in to the office. She checked in at the front desk and went and sat down. The nurse called her name and Sophie followed the nurse to the bathroom. She peed in a cup and then followed the nurse to an examine room. The nurse drew her blood and then left the room. a few moments later Dr Anna walked in the room. She was holding a book and her laptop. She asked Sophie a lot of questions and then left the room for a moment and then came back in and told Sophie that in 9 months she was going to be a mother. she handed the book to Sophie it was What to expect when you are expecting. Sophie was excited and nervous. The doctor handed her a sample pack of prenatal vitamins and a prescription for nausea and for prenatal vitamins and then Sophie left the office. Xander came home from the animal shelter and found his wife in bed fast asleep. He decided not to disturb his napping wife so he left a note in case she woke up and he left to go buy some Broccoli with maple sesame dressing, potato soup, rack of lamb with rosemary mustard cream and apple dumplings. She was still sleeping when he returned back with dinner. He put Rupert and Lucy in the outside kennel than He woke her up and she told him she was pregnant. He hugged her in excitement. He definately wanted children and so he was glad that he was going to be a father. Sophie slowly ate the food and then ran to the bathroom and threw up. Xander poured her a glass of ginger ale and got her some crackers. she managed to keep that down and feel a little bit better. Xander handed her one of her nausea pills and then they both fell asleep. Before leaving for work he set a glass of ginger ale and some crackers by the side of the bed then he let the dogs out and fed them. He called some of the workers to milk the cows, gather eggs, feed the animals and to weed the garden. Then he called his sister Priscilla and asked if she would be willing to prepare some casserole dishes that could just be put in the oven and that she could use anything from the garden and the freezers and fridge. She agreed and said she would be right over with their sister Cassandra. They arrived and got to work prepping meals. About 2 hours later Sophie got up to the smell of vegetables roasting. She heard 2 people talking in the kitchen. She entered the kitchen and saw Priscilla and Cassie talking and preparing casseroles and home made bread. They greeted her and let her know what Xander had asked of them and Sophie was glad that her 2 sister in laws were there. They handed her some Braised Pork Chops, Crunchy Potato Salad, Fennel Orange Salad and a glass of milk. She went and sat down at the table and dug into her lunch. She placed her dirty dishes into the dishwasher and Sophie went and took Rupert and Lucy for a walk. Sophie was happy for the help and told them that she is Pregnant. Both girls jumped for joy and hugged her. They were excited that they would becoming aunts.
