Ariel awakes.
She's lying in a bed with silk sheets. She's dressed in a white dress with golden ornaments.
She's very weak but manages to get herself up.
She's in a royal room, with paintings of previous kings and queens.
Drapes all around the room, red and gold.
-Steady now. You're still weak. Take it easy.- It was a very gentle and deep voice.
There was a man standing by the door, holding his helmet under his arm.
He was wearing a white and golden armour, so splendid and so shiny like the sun and the stars.
He had long raven hair, tied in a ponytail.
His eyes were the colour of the silver moon, on a winter night.
Ariel doesn't recognise him, yet he looks so familiar. Her sight is still weak and her body struggles to stand.
The man slowly approaches her, never taking his gaze off her eyes.
He gently grabs her hand in his, helping her up.
-Have I been away so long, that you have forgotten me?-
His smile is so warm. He gently strokes her face with his soft yet bony fingers.
She closes her eyes, enjoying every second of his touch.
Her face into his hand, he touches her so gently. Her eyes still closed, his lips are now touching hers.
The hand that was holding the helmet is wrapped around her waist.
Her hands are holding onto his arms. The touch of the cold metal is making her blood warm.
Her lips so tight into his. Never wanting to let go of this moment.
His tongue into hers.
His hand is holding her so tightly, never wanting to let go.
Finally their embrace slowly breaks.
He lets go of her lips, his arms still holding her tight.
The feeling of him letting her go was painful. She wanted more.
He gently strokes her hair, looking into those eyes, who have seen so much Death.
Ariel stares into his silver eyes and the word finally comes out, the name that's always been in her heart.
-Mefistofel......-
He lets out a big sigh, like he had been holding his breath for ever. A smile on his face.
His eyes are glaring with love and passion.
-How long I've been waiting to hear you say my name. So long I cannot remember.-
He holds her tight again, burying his head in her shoulder, smelling her hair. Taking in every second of her.
-You've been away so long, I was beginning to think you weren't coming back.-
Tears start falling down her cheeks. She feels strong again.
-My love. There will be time for us. To tell you everything. To tell you where we've been and how we got back. To tell you how thinking of you has kept me..... "living".
But now we need to fight. We need to free our land and get rid of the Magus. Tell me my love. Are you ready to fight with me?-
-I will fight with you. Until the end of Eternity.-
Mefistofel looks into her eyes. The same strength. Same fire. Same Power.
As he strokes her face, he notices something is missing.
-Where's the jewel I gave you?-
-He took it. I'll take it back.-
-We'll take it back.-
He embraced her once again, their lips locked. His arms holding her tighter.
Mefistofel's mind goes back to a night, under the tree, where the wish for her blood was almost intoxicating.
The moment when his eyes turned red.
He was different now. Ariel knew it. He was much more than he ever was. But she didn't care. He was there with her. He loved her. He would have killed to protect her. She would have done the same.
They were ready to fight. They were ready to kill. Together.
