The promise ring

Shelby's pov 

After Billie gave me that promise ring last night I was scared that I would loose it. When we woke up this morning it felt so good to be back at the house again. But of course when I walked out the same cop was here. 

Shelby- Oh come on what now. Am I in trouble for speaking the truth 

Joey- No your not 

Shelby- Then why his he in my house

Cop- I was going to bring your stuff that was left behind

Shelby- Okay anything else because I don't feel comfortable having a cop standing in my living room

Cop- I was just heading out

Billie- Mammas you didn't need to be that harsh 

Shelby- I know I just don't want it to happen again. 

Billie- It won't happen again

I helped Daniel and Maggie make some food for breakfast. I have no idea what we are making because I'm still not familiar with vegan foods as they are. While Daniel and Maggie were making the vegan food I made Cat French toast. When we had it all ready I snuck some of Cat's French toast onto my plate. When Lisa was busy with the little ones I would make a shit ton of French toast. 

Cat- Holy shit

Shelby- What 

Cat- These taste like I got them from a restaurant

Shelby- Thanks. I would make breakfast for everyone in the foster home when Lisa was busy with the little ones since the other older ones didn't give a shit

Cat- They are good

Shelby- Thanks 

We ate the food just talking about random things. After that we cleaned up and I went to go get ready for the day. I then got dressed in an outfit that Daniel gave me. 

I was wearing the promise ring around my neckless and I did light makeup. When I walked out Daniel bumped into me. 

Daniel- Sorry....You look cute in that 

Shelby- You think

Daniel- Yes. Where did you get that ring

Shelby- Its a promise ring from Billie

Daniel- Cuties alright I'm going to get ready.

I then saw Billie rough housing with Finneas. I then walked to my dad. 

Joey- You look cute. Whats up

Shelby- Whats are we doing today 

Joey- I don't know What do you want to do

I shrugged and walked outside to put my feet in the pool. I then heard someone sit by me. 

Maggie- What are you doing out here
