Mary's POV

2 weeks ago

It was super late but I wasn't tired even though I was just at a party.
"Mary?" My mom says.
"Yes." I say.
"Why are you home so late?" She says.
"Layla and I were planning her 19th birthday." I say.
"Oh, I put your dinner in the fridge." She says.
"Thanks." I say. I was with Layla but not planning anything, all of a sudden my phone goes off, it reads text from Cameron.
"Hey , we are having a little get together  at Noah's, but  his dad is there so no drinking, wanna come." He says in the text
"Sounds good, I'll be there. when is it?." I message back.
"Tonight." He tells me.
"Alr I'll be there give me ten minutes." I say .
I looked pretty decent already so I throw on a bit of makeup and headed out the door, sneakily obviously. I thought about Y/n, why have I not heard from her it's been like 3 months. Uh I miss her. I pushed her in the back of my mind she didn't  care for me anymore she only cared for them, no she still cares but not like she once did. I thought about how the walk was short but I didn't matter I was old enough to drive so why the fuck was I not driving there, right it's late so I can't talk my mom's car. Wait I'm 18 I can do whatever the fuck I want. I turn back around so I can take the car.
"Hey you need a ride?" A man says in his car the man looked familiar, Jay, y/n's ex.
"Jay?" I say confused.
"Yep in the flesh." He says rolling the window down more.
"Yeah I could use a ride just down the block its a party at cams." I say hoping in the car. We drive for a bit, I was so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't even realized he had passed the street.
"Oh shit sorry its down that way," I say pointing behind us.
"Nah we're going to a really dope party, cams a bitch and won't drink when his dad's around, don't you wanna get fucked up?" He asks. I thought for a second I mean yeah my life is boring as fuck and I need to have something to focus on other than my best friend picking a boy band over me.
"Sure." I say grinning.
"All right." He says keeping his eyes on the rode and one hand on the wheel. We get there and I got so fucked up, I drank a bottle of tequila, took an oxy, and smoked some weed. I felt so good like I had no worry.
"Hey let's go somewhere." He says taking me to the car. We drive for what feels like forever.
"Hey actually  you wanna take a ride trip," He says grabbing my hand. I was so messed up that I couldn't decide if it was good idea or not but I said yes anyways. We were on the rode for 7hrs then we stopped at a hotel and stayed there for a bit. We went all the way to Texas and stayed a bit.

"Want some?" He asks holing s bottle of whiskey and some pills.
"Fuck it," I say downing it. We stay like this until the beginning of week 2, we decided  it was time to head home. He was drunk, I was drunk there wasn't  anyone responsible enough  to drive and that's when it happened an hour into the drive we wrecked, neither of sure what to do, we were breathing but badly injured. What could we tell the cops we were drunk and fucked up on pills while taking an 20 hour rode trip hell no, I called Cameron and Noah they told me they would be there as soon as possible, I hade to go to the hospital  the closest one was 2 miles away. I signaled for someone to stop and help and in my condition  they obviously  did.
"Are you okay," the lady asked very concerned. The crash had sobered me up enough to not slur all my words.
"Um, my friend was intoxicated and he wrecked please take me to a hospital," I say sobbing.
"Um yeah, hop in," She says as I admit to get in the truck, took me a while but I got in. On the way I blacked in and out, luckily  my phone survived  the crash for some crazy,strange reason. So I messaged  the guys and told them exactly  were I was. I stayed in the hospital  for a couple day and eventually I got the green light to come home. But that was not my first thought. Y/n was.
