I kept my head down as Sherri and I walked through the school cafeteria, sitting down in our usual seats. "Sherri." I suddenly said, breaking the silence between my best friend and I. "Yeah?" She asked, her brown hair falling over her face. "Have you ever thougt about leaving North Carolina after graduation? Like, go somewhere else?" She looked taken aback, though she pondered at the thought for a moment. "Actually yeah. Paris has always appealed to me. And, it would be great to be discovered as singer for you, right. I mean, it could happen." My greenish-blueish eyes sparkled for a moment, a smile tugging on my lips. "Exactly. That's settled, then. After graduation, we're going to Paris together, yeah?"

GRADUATION.
"Alexandria Elizabeth." The principal called my name. My mother jumped up, cheering and clapping as I shook Mr. Knights hand. He handed me the certificate, as I walked off and stood next to Sherri on the side of the stage, a bright grin spread on my face.
"So when are we going?" I asked her. She looked at me, a puzzled look clear on her face. "Paris." Realization hit her, and her eyes lit up. "Oh! Well, when will we be ready?" "Babe, for Paris, I can be ready in a day." She laughed as our parents walked over.
"I'm so proud of you Lexi!" My mom cheered. "Thanks. Hey, mum, you know how I was talking to you about Paris?" She nodded slowly. "Well, Sherri and I were wondering if we could get tickets tonight for the soonest flight." Both Sherri and I's mother's looked at us, tears filling their eyes.
"You guys are already moving out..." Sherri's mom muttered, and then sighed loudly. "Of course. We'll buy them tonight." Sherri and I looked at eachother, jumping and cheering. I went up to my mum, gave her a kiss on the cheek, and wrapped my arms around her. "Thank you, so much." I quitely whispered in her ear.
I was going to Paris. I was going to fufill my dream, alongside my best friend.
