Kaymere POV

"Aye E, where my body wash?" I yelled while I was in the shower.

"I'll get you some more. My brother used it, just use the bar soap."

I grabbed the soap and it smelled like the soap Blu use but harsh. I just used it so I can't hurry up and leave.

I got out of the shower, got dressed and went to the living room. E was on her phone texting somebody.
"Who you texting?" I sat down.

She put her phone down. "Nobody but what you doing tomorrow?"

"Like as in Thanksgiving tomorrow?"

"Yea fool."

"Oh well, ummm I think Turtle doing a lil something something."

"Awe that sounds nice. Can I come?"

"I mean Turtle real strict when it comes to the family events."

"But I am family. I'm your family."

"Yea but I mean family family. His girl not even coming."

"So, what that gotta do with me?"

"We not bringing our girl. It's a family thing. Ain't your brother doing something?"

She started looking sad. "No, he don't be around for the holidays."

"No parents?" She shook her head. "Why you didn't tell me?"

"You never asked." She shrugged. "But call Turtle and see if I can come."

"I just spent the whole day yesterday and I'm coming back in a minute."

"So you want me to spend thanksgiving alone?"

I rubbed my head and pulled my phone out to FaceTime Turtle. The phone rung a couple times before he answered.

"Yoooo."

"Tell E we not bringing our girls to thanksgiving."

"Who ain't bringing they girl? Amber better help cook." Amber smacked him in the head.

E jumped into the camera. "So I can come?"

He shrugged. "I don't see why not."

"Bye nigga." And I hung up the phone.

"If you ain't want me to come, you could've just said that."

"That wasn't the case. I just didn't know what was going on."

"Aight, I'm bouta go with my friend. You staying here or leaving?"

"I was gone stay but I guess I'll leave."

"Well, you gone have to leave right now. I'm going out the door."

I got up to put my shoes on. "Imma come get you tomorrow." And I left out the door.

"Yo Money, where you at?"

"With my girl, why wassup?"

"Y'all niggas lame as hell. What Turtle doing?"

"At his crib with Amber."

"I'm bout a go bother them."

"I think Blu and Pookie over there too."

"Sooooooo?"

"Ain't you with Z?"

"E and nah. But I'm bouta go to my Dukes crib."

"Aight hit me later." And hung up the phone.

I parked, got out and walked in. "Yoooooo."

"What be wrong with you?" Pops asked looking at me dumb.

"Nothing. Ain't seen y'all in a minute."

"Nigga I seen you 4 days ago."

"That's a long time. Where ma?"

"Upstairs, sleep I think."

"I'll go see for myself." I ran up the stairs and busted in the room. "Wassup momma."

"I see you don't knock." She said laying down.

"Nah I don't but what you doing?"

"Boy, what it look like?"

"Lemme lay witcha." I took off my sweat pants and hoodie.

"You always tryna get naked."

I waved her off. "I got shorts on." I jumped on the bed and laid out.

"So, did you find out where Ki was for her birthday?"

"Yea. I bought her 21 pair of shoes."

"Nowwwwwwww. She deserve it doe."

"Yea she do. And I got her a necklace with a picture of me, pops, uncle Ant and her. She started crying." I started smiling just thinking about her.

"Awe Kaymere. That's was very sweet of you." She gave me a hug.

"Dang ma, this gone be my last time sleeping in yo bed."

"Yea, you too big for this. Did you tell her?"

I sighed. "No. I don't know how. I can't just tell her that you sick ma, I know she gone be mad at me. Y'all don't understand."

"I do understand. You were mad at me when I told you but you got over it. That's just something she's just going to have to understand. If she love you, and you know she does, she'll be mad for a minute but right by your side the whole time."

I nodded my head. "I know and imma tell her. But I think t would be good fo though to bet here too."

"Nah, I can't be there. That's something y'all have to talk about alone."

"You coming to thanksgiving?"

"Where at?"

"Turtle's."

"Who cooking?"

"Blu and I think Amber but you know Blu don't let nobody help her in the kitchen."

"I can't but tell her send me a plate."

"We gone bring it when we bring nana and Crystal they plates."

"Awe, Ki talking to her mother again?"

"Nah, I'm making her do this. You being sick really made me think about Blu and her dukes."

"She wanted to see her?"

"She was putting up a fight but I could tell she really wanted to."

"Now if you see the situation escalate, tell Ki to walk away."

I nodded. "Now can you wake me up in like a hour or two." Curled up and proceeded to go to sleep
