You are the cause of my euphoria
🥀Jungkook's limbs were trembling with worry, eyes fixated straight, trying to hide the emotions that were storming inside of him. His mouth feels dry, teeth nibbling on his bottom lip, doing his best to think rationally, though being unable to concentrate or organize his thoughts as only one thing occupied his entire attention; Yoongi is in the room next to him, probably scared and nervous.... no, not just 'probably', he knew Yoongi was scared, he felt it, and the fact that he couldn't be next to him in a moment like this drove Jungkook insane.
His slim fingers dug into his dark hair, pulling at it out of helplessness; he needed to be next to his lover, but he was kept captive in this poorly lightened room that smelled like sweat and cheap coffee.
He looks up at the mirror in front of him, knowing damn well that this is not a mirror but a window, behind which a bunch of officers, cops and maybe even his parents were looking at him, studying him like a rare animal, talking quietly, discussing what's next... although Jungkook already knew;
Yoongi is only fifteen and Jungkook is still seventeen, they are minors, the police can't do anything except for trying to separate them, but this won't work, Jungkook won't allow them to take Yoongi away from him. Besides, the two will probably have to go back to school, and there it is so much easier to find ways to be together, that's where they'll plan how to do everything again, this time properly, so they won't get caught, now that they are experienced, to do the same trick won't be that hard; this time they will leave the country, this time they will run away forever.
Meanwhile, in the other room, just like Jungkook guessed, Yoongi was horrified, fists clenched to the point where it was painful, nails digging into the soft flesh of his palms, looking in different directions in a hopeless search for an escape, teeth nervously biting onto his inner cheek, trying his best not to tremble from fear and worry.
To be honest, knowing Yoongi's parents, there was nothing for him to be scared of; they have never raised their voice at him, let alone get angry or scold him, but he was scared of what will come after the 'reuniting': their worried faces, their tears, their questions... the news tellers that are waiting outside of the building, waiting to tell the viewers the outcome of the story... after all, they've been missing for four months... yet, the thing that scared him most, is how Jungkook will deal with the entire situation, as his parents are quite... different from Yoongi's ones.
Yoongi's eyes shoot upwards to look at the door as he heard the heavy key turning and the door being unlocked, a police officer glanced at him for a couple seconds, finally stepping aside, allowing his parents in.
The only thing Yoongi managed to see before they enveloped him in a tight hug was their swollen, teary eyes and relived expressions.
For a long minute they couldn't let go of their son, pressing him as close as possible, as if unable to believe he is real and is back in their arms, feeling their tears staining his shirt, allowing them to think that everything is finally over, while all he could think of was Jungkook, that most definitely didn't get the same reaction from his parents, flinching at the memory of what the older has told him about them.
