TW;; people getting sick and getting drunk

-Emetophobia

Kaede Akamatsu was doing her homework in her dorm room, she had to also study for a test coming up on Friday, today was Monday. Her and Rantaro Amami were the class representatives, nobody could decide which was more dedicated. Despite Rantaro mentioning that Kaede was much more social then him, which was true but he still was really helpful.

She was overworking herself, that much was true. The lack of sleep and food had her feeling sick, it was not a good feeling. She probably should treat herself, she can't be sick on the day of the test after all! With a sigh, she shut the book she was reading, turned off the reading light, and stumbled over to the bed. She went under the covers and let the sound of her fan lull her to sleep.

When Kaede woke up that morning, her worries became reality. Her head felt awful, her limbs were numb, she felt nauseous, and her throat was killing her. She didn't bother to get up as she fell back asleep quickly. What a few minutes? Hours? Whatever.. all she knew now was something woke her up. She looked around only to see Rantaro straightening up her room, her books were scattered throughout the room.

After the taller male finished putting the last book on the bookcase, he noticed she was awake and staring at him. "Good afternoon, Kaede." He said with a smile. Kaede turned her head to the clock above her dresser, sure enough there it was saying it was 1:34 PM. She slept through morning classes. Kaede tried to get out of bed only for Rantaro to come over and push her down "Kaede, you have a fever. I'm not letting you get out of bed and make it worse by overworking yourself again." Although his logic was a bit hypocritical, considering he overworked himself much more then Kaede, he was right.

Defeated, Kaede went back under the covers. Rantaro leaned over and grabbed something from on top of her nightstand "I had Kirumi make you some soup, it's chicken noodle.. I heh.. didn't know which kind you liked." He finished with an awkward laugh before Kaede finally spoke "It's okay, I love chicken noodle soup." She said smiling, obvious her sore throat was affected by her talking. Rantaro put the soup down and helped her sit up, before grabbing the soup again. He scooped up a spoonful of soup and directed it to Kaede's mouth.

The action and thought of Rantaro feeding her made her blush, she was lucky her face was already red. "R-Rantaro you don't need to feed me, I-I can do it myself." She mumbled as he frowned. "Kaede, although I know you could do it yourself I don't want you to put pressure on yourself by moving. It's much simpler if you let me do it, I just don't want you to worsen." Kaede puffed out her cheeks before giving in and opening her mouth as he feed her the soup. After she felt like she was going to throw up and couldn't have any more, she closed her mouth and shook her head to signal Rantaro to stop.

Rantaro got the message, even the internal message somehow as he put the soup back on the nightstand and grabbed a bucket he had placed beside her bed 'How did I not see that'?Kaede asked herself before grabbing the bucket from him and just leaning over it, waiting to either throw up or just have the nausea go away. Soon her stomach was churning violently and she couldn't hold it in anymore as she puked all of what she had eaten from the chicken soup.

Rantaro watched with a sympathetic look as she finally stopped. Kaede was breathing heavily from the lack of air that came with throwing up, Rantaro carefully took away the bucket to be cleaned later. She fell backwards as she lied down again. Rantaro gave her some water to help clear the awful taste of the vomit and said there was also medicine on her nightstand she could take with it if she wanted to.

With that, the greenette grabbed the bucket and carefully walked to the bathroom. Kaede was left there in her own thoughts, despite Rantaro leaving the bathroom door opening as he rinsed out the bucket in the tub. Kaede thought of the pain. She stared at the ceiling fan she owned, mesmerized as it turned. She smiled lightly at nothing particular, everything was so calming despite how terrible she felt. It was probably that.

Rantaro came back in and sat down in silence. He started to slowly pet her hair in an attempt to comfort her, knowing very well how she felt. Kaede let out a groan as her stomach churned again, Rantaro quickly removed his hand and grabbed the bucket just in case. She leaned over it, this time nothing coming out. She sighed in relief as the intense feeling of a substance rising from your stomach to your head disappeared. She hated throwing up, the feeling of not throwing up when you feel you need too is relieving.

The sickness lasted three days, just in time for the test. Kaede was really lucky, she couldn't thank Rantaro enough. He always told her she didn't need to say thanks as he was happy to help. One day though, an upperclassmen decided to throw a party in their classes common room, it would be a mess considering he invited everyone from every class but that was his problem. (The person who threw the party is Mondo by the way, Ishimaru kept telling him no but that never stopped him)

She had aced the test so why not? This could be her way of celebrating. The common rooms were always massive, too massive for just 16 students, so it's big enough to throw a party for a few other classes. There was an option to bring a partner, but she had no one to go with. Despite being one of the class representatives, she just didn't care for most of the boys of other classes that asked her. Shuichi would be one of her top choices, if he wasn't already going with Kokichi.

Kaede was picking at her food during lunch as she thought about it, K1-B0? Pretty sure he's already going with Miu. Korekiyo's a definite no. Ryoma is basically an adult and she's too immature compared to him, also he's going with Kirumi. Kaito is obviously going with Maki. Gonta? Maybe. Although all he'll do is play with the ants in the kitchen, plus she wasn't too attracted to him either. Oh! What about Rantaro? She lifted her head and looked at the table he was sitting at.

He was sitting between Tenko and Korekiyo. Their class is the most divided, they aren't as unified as the others. Definitely a massive gap between them, whether it be creative differences or maybe the way people act, whatever the case may be, the class just hated eachother. They were split down the middle.

Kaede stared at him as he tried to calm down Tenko from screaming at Korekiyo. He was such a nice friend, always listening to others rants and offering advice when asked for some. He doesn't care about what happens to him, as long as everyone else is okay he'll be okay.

Another thing she admired was the fact that he participated in the 52nd killing game! He survived with another one of their classmates, Tsumugi Shirogane. Tuning back into the conversation her friends were having, she saw Kaito being a flirt with Maki as Shuichi sat on the other side of Kaede, watching Danganronpa on his phone silently. This fanboy.. honestly it was quite comical. After the 52nd game is when school had its new year, Shuichi and Kaede were childhood friends.

The moment Tsumugi and Rantaro both entered at the same time she swore Shuichi physically stopped and stared with a dazed smile on his face. "Come on Maki-roll! It's just a party," Kaito said suddenly as Kaede focused again. "Kokichi is coming, I don't trust anything that's going to go on there." She said bluntly as Kokichi shouted from across the table "HEY!" Was all he said. Or all Kaede could hear.

The bell rang and so everyone left the cafeteria, Kaede headed to the lockers to quickly grab her science book. She ran into Kaito and Maki though. "Hey Kaede!" Kaito said enthusiastically while Maki just gave her a nod as a greeting. Kaede smiled towards them "Hey Kaito, Maki. Are you both going to the party together?"

Kaito nodded "Yep! It took a lot of convincing but Maki-roll finally agreed to come!" Maki started to play with her pigtails "I only agreed because this idiot wouldn't stop bugging me." She mumbled, looking at the floor as she kept tugging on her hair. "Do you have someone you want to go with?" The brunette asked quietly as Kaede avoided her gaze for a bit.

"Well I want to ask someone out but.. but he's always so busy! And we barely talk outside of classes.. but he's so awesome and perfect and I really wanna ask him to come with me but I don't know when or even how!" Kaede ranted as the couple just watched. "Who? Shuichi?" Kaito finally asked as Kaede shook her head, catching her breath from nonstop ranting.

"No... I don't see him like that. I only see him as a friend." Kaede said quietly as she pulled back one of her bangs. "I'm sorry. I just started ranting." She said quietly before heading to her locker again, unlocking and taking out her books as Kaito and Maki exchanged a look before walking off. The blonde sighed as she shut her locker door again before walking off. Thinking about how the party will be.
