I'm ba~ck. I totally didn't forget that I wrote this.

The 4 Twice members were kinda tired after their practice. They were heading back to their dorm. They had small talks here and there on random topics. Then their topic somehow drifted to their partners.

" Dahyun, what about you? You're probably happy with your partner. This is your second time working together right?

" Ne, but I guess I would've preferred to be partnered with someone I'm close with. I mean he's still a really good partner though. Even though we're not close and are a bit awkward around each other, but he is also....." Dahyun started to murmur near the end while Nayeon, Momo, and Mina looked at each other.

' Does she like him?' all three had the same thoughts

"Hey, Dahyun? Do you have a crush on Vernon?"

" What do you mean? Of course, I do."
(Yiee may paghanga hahaha char)

The three again exchanged glances.

' Wow, she confessed that easily.'

" Why don't you look like you believe me? Aren't all of us (Twice) fans of Seventeen sunbaenim?"

Nayeon's POV

" Ahh right, right. I guess so."

'I saw how Vernon looked at her during practice, he's probably at the stage of denial of his feelings. By all means, I would support them dating if they truly wanted to, but that would only be after our dating ban. It would only hurt both of them to start liking each other now but not be allowed to date. But even after our dating ban would they be able to date peacefully? Wouldn't she receive-' My thoughts were cut off when Momo called out to me.

"Unnie are you okay? You look like you're pondering over something important."

" Yeah no, I'm okay I think I'm just tired."

Author's POV

The boys were on their way home in their van. It was already pretty late and the boys were tired. Inside the van one of them was deep in thought.

' Do I like her? There's no way right? It should be just because of the teasing and stuff right? Ugh!!! This can't be seriously happening to me right? I don't remember being stupid enough to like a fellow idol with a dating ban.'

Vernon, as Nayeon had guessed, was in the stage of denial. He wasn't as dense as his members thought of him. He had noticed during practice how his eyes sometimes just wander towards her direction or how he unconsciously thinks about her. He was in denial not because he couldn't understand what he feels but that he couldn't believe that even with himself knowing of the existence of their dating ban he had unconsciously started falling for her and he knew that he wasn't getting over her anytime soon.

~A few days later~

It was the day of SBS Gayo Daejon. A lot of idols were already at the event place for their scheduled rehearsals. Among these idols, 16 were about to start. The 4 Twice members got on stage and went into position.

A few idols were watching them rehearse while others were in their own worlds. The members of Twice, Gfriend, Seventeen, and Got7 who weren't part of the performance were intently watching them. Some were being supportive while some were waiting for possible teasing material to unfold.

The 8 girls moved to the main stage (is that what it's called?) while the guys got into position.

The music began and their bodies automatically started dancing. Everything was going well till the part where the boys had to slide their hands next to the girls' side. The idols, for the most part, seemed quite awkward doing it with their hands being too far from the girls. However, one pair was different.

The boys had to kneel first before they slid their hands next to the girls' side. Vernon had accidentally kneeled a bit far from where he was originally supposed to but he didn't notice it until his hand made contact with Dahyun's waist. At the touch of his cold hands, her body automatically reacted and she froze for a second before continuing to dance.

This small detail didn't go unnoticed by their members. And from there, their members instinctively knew, that those two would never hear the end of it.

While the audience, consisting of their members, was able to see everything that happened, those who were performing on stage with them were unaware. So when they saw that Vernon and Dahyun quickly broke apart after dancing, they were understandably confused.

They knew the 2 were one of the most awkward pairs among them but they didn't think it was bad to the point wherein they seemed like they were scrambling to get away from each other.

They wanted to ask but the two were the quickest to get off the stage and they ended up shrugging it off before going down the stage as well.

Feeling guilty, Vernon wanted to apologize, however, one side of him was too ashamed to face her. Quickly pulling up the guts, Vernon went after Dahyun.

'Hoo, you can do this.' he said to himself
"Dahyun-ssi!"

"Ne?" She answered simply and turned around

" I'm really sorry about earlier. " He said with a bow.

" Oh! Sunbae, it's fine." She said trying to make him lift his head."You didn't seem like you meant to do it." She added

He smiled, "Thank you."

And they went silent.

'What the hell?! Am I charmed by his smile or something?! Why am I so quiet?!' Dahyun thought to herself.

This continued for a few minutes until, "Dahyun! Where are you?!" She heard one of her members call out.

"A-ahem! I'll get going now..." Dahyun stated awkwardly.

Vernon only nodded.

Dahyun quickly left and headed to her unnies. Vernon also left and headed to his members.

"What took you so long?" Both their members asked

While the two groups were in completely different vicinities, they asked the same thing to their newly arrived member.

"I just grabbed some water before I went here/I had to go to the bathroom earlier." Vernon and Dahyun made up a lie on the spot.

Same question, but the two had different excuses. Their members were suspicious of their answers but didn't probe any further.

"We know you like Dahyun but you really shouldn't do stuff like that," Joshua said seriously

" Do what?" Vernon asked genuinely confused

" Eyy, you think we didn't see your little stunt earlier," Jeonghan said teasingly in contrast to Joshua's serious tone.

" Wait, hyung, what'd he do?" Dino asked

" He touched Dahyun's waist earlier during your rehearsals on stage. " Jun said and mouthed ' you're gonna get killed by Sana. ' to Vernon. This made Vernon unconsciously shiver.

"Hyung/Unnie, I/he didn't mean to do that." Vernon and Dahyun responded to their members' questions.

" Oh really?" Chaeyoung said amusingly

"What's that tone suppose to mean?" Dahyun raised her brows

"It meant that he could've done it on purpose." Jeongyeon crossed her arms

" There's no way he'd do something like that." Dahyun continued to defend Vernon.

" And how are you so sure of that?" Sana asked

"Cause he seems like a good guy? Besides, he apologized to me earlier. " She trailed off at the end

" He what?" The girls didn't hear her second sentence.

Momo had a realization, " So that's the reason the two of you were scrambling away from each other earlier."

Dahyun blushed and laughed it off.
