The escape

Aurelia:

The tunnel is dark but I brought two candles, just in case. We keep walking and walking in silence.

"I'm sorry Aurelia" Julius says "for what I did". He walks a little faster and walks beside me.

"I don't want to talk about this right now" I say

"But we should talk about it"

"What is there to say Julius?" I say a little angrier. "We can't be together and you know that. You made that very clear last time"

"I didn't mean it. I was angry"

"Even if you didn't mean it, it's still true" I stop walking and face him. "We can't be together"

He is now standing in front of me. "Why can't we? We're running away. We can do whatever we want now"

"We are not running away. I am and you're not coming with me" I begin to walk again "I'm going alone"

He grabs me by my arm and turns me around to face him again. "You won't survive alone" he says "the world is dangerous. too dangerous". He places his left hand on my cheek. "I can't lose you again Aurelia"

I remove his hand from my cheek. "You already lost me Julius". Just before I get the chance to turn around again he pushes me against the wall.

"Don't say that to me Aurelia. I know you want me" the whispers the last sentence into my ear "you just can't admit it"

Dahmm this boy drives me crazy.

He looks at my lips and I look at his.

Not even a second later our lips collide with each other. I place my lips on his and he accepts it. We explore each other's mouth. Then his hands go under my shirt and I gasp.

I can feel him smile against my lips.

"I missed your touch so much Aurelia". He kisses me again but with more passion.

I missed his touch too but I'm not saying that to him.

His left hand is now choking me while his other hand is under my shirt. I place both of my hands on his chest.

We keep kissing.

Then I wrap my legs around his waist and dig my nails into his back.

But before we can do anything else a hard noice comes from the beginning of the tunnel.

"Fuck" Julius says and pulls back.

"We got to go". I grab his hand and begin running towards the end of the tunnel.

We run for a long time and I'm out of breath.

"Wait" I say and stop running "I can't run anymore". I place my hands on my knees and try to catch my breath again.

"It's okay. We can walk now" Julius puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me up a bit "but we have to keep moving"

"This tunnel is so long" I say

"I know but we're almost there"

"You don't know that"

"Yeah I do. Look" he points at the end of the tunnel

I follow the direction of his finger and see light not so far from where we are.

"Yes! Yes!" I jump. "We made it" I hug Julius and he hugs me back.

He laughs "Yes but we're not there yet"

"Let's go!" He grabs my hand and starts running. I run behind him.

We stop running and walk out of the tunnel. I breathe in the fresh air of the outside world. I've never been out of my castle before. At least not that I remember. Even the village where I went with Julius is considered part of the castle.

We're surrounded by flowers and I walk over to one of them. I stand still in front of a yellow flower.

Julius walks over to me and stands beside me. We both look at the flower until I look at him. "What's your favorite flower?" he asks

"I love all flowers to be honest. They're all so unique and different from each other. How can you choose one favorite?". I walk around a bit.

Then I lay on the grass and stare into the sky. Julius lays down besides me. "I'm finally free" I say, while laughing.

"Does Asif know that you left" Julius turns his head to look at me

"No he doesn't" I say. "The moment that he finds out, we're fucked"

"He's going to send his army to look for you, isn't he?" he asks.

"Yes he probably will" I look at Julius. "Julius I missed you so much"

Julius smiles. "I missed you too" he says. He pulls me into a hug and I hug him too.

"Never leave me again" I say

"I won't" he says "I promise"

I smile and get up. "We have to keep moving"

He gets up too and places his hand into mine.

We start to walk without knowing where to. We keep singing and dancing together the whole time.

"Tonight the music seems so loud. I wish that we could lose this crowd. Maybe it's-"

I hear someone scream and Julius doesn't seem to hear it.

"Wait Julius stop singing" I stop walking and look around.

"What is it?" Julius holds me close to him and looks around too.

"I heard someone scream"

"I didn't hear anything" he says. "Let's go" He begins to walk but I don't move. "Aurelia we should go. It's getting dark"

Then I hear someone scream again and this time Julius hears it too.

"Let's go Aurelia!"

"No we have to help that person" I say, trying to protest but he grabs my arm and makes me run with him. "We have to help that person Julius!"

"No we don't". He doesn't look at me and keeps on running.

I try to escape his grip on my arm but it doesn't work. When he finally let's me go, I look at him. "Thank y-"

He places his finger on my lips and pushes me behind a tree. "Shhh be quiet" he whispers.

I look at him confused. He points at a group of man walking around with swords.

Fuck.

This chapter was really short sorry :(

The next chapter is going to be longer! I promise
