.:. Okay guys, this is ANOTHER story I came up with. I know I'm quite pitiful, especially since I have like eight other stories I can work on. This idea just came to me and i had to write it! Tell me if you guys think I should continue or not! Oh the picture is of her dress .:.
Prologue
What if you were assigned to protect royalty? What if said royalty were a prince? That sounds reasonable, right? Now imagine this, a fifteen-year-old girl protecting said prince. Getting ridiculous yet? If not, let me add one thing, I, a small girl, have to protect a strong prince with my life, or else the whole kingdom will be at risk. My name is Lucille Louise Gargon, and I am a Protector.
Chapter 1
"Keep focused Lucille!" yells Linda, my combat teacher, as she slices the air with a sword. I sigh and automatically reach up and block her blow while I thrust my sword towards her. I kick her in her stomach making her fall to the blue mats. Her strawberry blond hair sprays out around her. I stick the tip of my sword to her throat and sigh.
"I'm tired of games!" I lift my silver sword from her neck and sit down near her. "All I've done is practice. I've never really had any real assignment!" I complain as I fall backwards onto the soft mat. It's true; I've been practicing since I was little, both in the way of magic and in the way of combat. I am even more skilled than my teachers are! "Do you know how annoying it is when you know that you can do so much, but you aren't allowed to even step one foot outside? It's like I'm in a giant bubble!" I glance over at her smiling blue eyes. "What's so funny?" I ask angrily. In response, Linda sits up and rubs some dirt off her hands on her grey yoga pants.
"I've gotten you a charge," she says making me sit straight up. My dark black hair comes with me but sticks up oddly because of static. I pull down my yellow shorts and look back up at her in shock.
"You're kidding right?" I ask skeptically but I can't help but let some of my excitement leak.
"Nope, but he'll be a hard one to protect," she says making me smile.
"You've got to be kidding me right? I've been training ever since I was little! I can handle anything," I say confidently while smiling up at Linda.
"Fine, but you can't let anything distract you," she says and I nod excitedly.
"Who is it?" I ask excitedly as I stand up sticking a hand out for Linda. She grabs it and I easily yank her up.
"I can't tell you, the king must decide if you're worthy or not first," Linda says while I look at her weirdly.
"That's not protocol though," I say and she shakes her head at me.
"I know, but you try arguing that with his highness," she says as we start to walk across the mats in our socks. We get to the large wooden doors and I look back up at Linda expectedly. "Go get dressed and dolled up now, and meet me in the library when you're done." I nod my head before bowing respectively to my teacher and friend.
"Thank you Linda, I really appreciate this," I say while she smiles at me.
"You're the only one who could do it. You're even more skilled then the teachers here," she says while laughing. I nod my head once more before leaving her to her laughter. Finally, I get a real charge! I'm not some chauffer or a date (yes, once I was assigned to act like someone's date). This time, I'll actually be able to do my job. I was so busing being happy that I didn't even notice when I bump into someone. I fall onto my butt and I glare up at the clumsy oaf who knocked me down.
