Recap: Sophia joined up with Perrie after she threatened her family and together they convinced Liam to kidnap Lana in return for Sophia. Having trust in Liam, Lana willingly went with him when he brought her into a car. During the three days Lana spent there she was beaten and harassed by different members of the gang. On the third day Harry, who had been working with Gus to stage an attack, came to save her. During their escape Perrie was killed (for real this time) and Gus was severely injured and quickly loosing blood. Harry got shot in the abdomen on their way to the car and was also loosing blood.(1 Month Later)
I stood in the kitchen washing a mug Harry had just used to drink his morning coffee.
The window above the sink sat open, the cool air rushing against my face. Every morning had been the same since we left America.
I wake up early and spend the majority of my day going back and fourth between Harry and Gus.
Harry, being used to this lifestyle, recovered pretty quickly. He lessened his work load a bit but is mostly back to normal.
Gus on the other hand...
The first few days we thought he wasn't going to make it, he had lost so much blood.
They took him to the best hospital closest to us at the time, and he went in for an emergency surgery.
Those long hours spent in the waiting room almost killed me.
But somehow he survived, even though everyone was betting against it. The first two weeks he was mostly asleep all day and night, the medication left him groggy.
More recently, he started carrying on full conversations. In the beginning he barely had the strength to speak.
We took a trip over to Brazil.
Harry has a lot of business associates here and it gave us the opportunity to hide out while the both of them recovered.
"Come here baby", he called.
I smiled turning around to find his gaze on me.
His green eyes sparkled in the sunlight that peaked through the open window, the most beautiful color id ever seen.
I walked over to him, standing in front of him as he sat.
He wrapped his strong arms around me, I leaned down and connected my mouth with his.
"I won't ever loose you again", he whispered softly against my lips.
*****
"Goodnight Gus", I smiled at him from the doorway.
He smiled back, "Goodnight".
I flipped off the lights and shut the door.
This new hideout was nice, elegant as always. There was just a touch of normalcy in it, something that made it feel almost like home.
I walked down the hall to mine and Harry's room. Today he'd spent the day doing a lot of business meetings.
I knew he'd be tired , even though he'd never admit it.
"Hey babe", I enter the room, gently closing the door behind me.
I flip the lock switch.
"How was your day?" I ask.
He's laying in bed in only his boxers, his torso was still being bandaged up from his wounds.
"Same old", he replied, "I'm just so tired of these medications".
