Austins POV :)
"Because you're just going to hurt me" She whispered harshly, pushing me away. I froze and looked away briefly to suck in an uneasy breath before looking back at her. She really did hate me, i was too much of a jerk to not only her but every girl in this school. I didn't respect them, but i respected her.
"Avery" I said slowly, as if she'd disappear. "I wouldn't" I took a step closer, she looked so fragile and innocent unlike Georgia the only girl in my gang.
She put a hand up and i stopped. "No Austin, i don't want to risk it" She shook her head.
Avery was right. I kissed her after knowing her for a week, i haven't even gotten my thoughts or feelings for her straight i acted without thinking.
"Bu-" She cut me off before i got anything but half a word out.
"I'll see you tomorrow" She opened the door to the stairs and walked down them. I followed her silently, thinking she wasn't going to listen to me if i said anything.
When we exited the school, she walked past me to go to Jake's car, her soft skin brushed mine causing my arm to heat up. I stood where i was looking at her as she got into her brothers car no expression on her bruised face.
Jake turned to her and said something, i couldn't deciper, she touched her face and said something else while putting her seat belt on. He turned the engine on and she looked at me shyly, i looked at her and smiled not happily but sadly and walked to my car and got in.
"Austin!" I heard Georgia's voice and turned my head towards her.
"What?" I snapped, although i didn't mean to.
"Don't be too polite" She said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. I continued staring at her, waiting for her to get to the point. She could be annoying sometimes but she was the most rebellious girl i've ever met and does whatever she wants, like me.
She huffed. "I'm watching Damon fight tonight"
Damon? the guy that was in Jake's gang? the one that was a player like me, yet gains Avery's friendship easily. He was still in school but he was a year older than me, so were all of them but Jake doesn't go here anymore. They're still here because they caused a massive riot in street racing around here so their punishment was they had to stay in school for one more year. They didn't have normal classes like Avery, Georgia and I but they had to help teach some of the freshmen and sophomore's.
"So?" I asked, it's not like i cared.
"You're fighting as well in the stadium next to him?" She said more like a question. "I thought you wanted your gang there as well" She air quoted the word 'gang'
"Yeah that's fine you can watch him, just come back after his fight, because we're talking to my manager about something" I said talking about the fact that not only do i do legal fighting but i do illegal fighting. I do street fighting, street racing and street dancing it's the usual thing that runs through the gangs.
"Right, okay, bye" She walked off to Damon and kissed him. I immediately looked away as it brought flashbacks of what happened between Avery and I earlier on the rooftop.
When i got home, i said a quick hello to my mum before taking two steps a time to my room. I connected my phone to my ipod dock and heard the music blast from the speakers. I lay on my bed and began shooting hoops with my basketball. The fight was at 7pm so i had time.
The faint splash of water caught my attention and i walked over to the window on Avery's side. I opened the window and sat down on the ledge, call me pedophile but i was bored and watching her swimming gave me something to do. Yeah, okay i admit, i'm a pedophile.
