Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

Payton's P.O.V

        I awoke to a dim light. I was in a bed? My eyes shot open and looked around. I wasn't at home. I was in a hotel? I quickly got up worrying about Amber. I opened the hotel door and looked in the hallway. Someone in the hotel room beside me did the same. It was Amber! She ran to me and hugging me.

        "What happened? Why are we here? How did we end up here?" She started asking a lot of questions.

        "I don't remember." I answered softly. I didn't know what happened. I didn't know how we got here. All I remember is I went jogging and then my memory stopped there.

        When we looked up and down the hallways, people we feared were there. I noticed Masky was struggling to stand. He had a bullet wound. I slightly remembered more. When I went jogging, they were running towards me. I had shot one of them out of fear. I felt bad.

        They ran towards us. I grabbed Amber's wrist and pulled her into a elevator. I pushed random buttons and backed against the elevator wall. We were safe. The elevator went to each floor. They hadn't appeared on any floor so far.

        "We must get out of here!" I told Amber seriously. Amber nodded. This was a live or die situation. The elevator stopped on the first floor and we exited. No people were around. That's strange.

        We ran out of the hotel and started running. The guys were running after us. They were fast! Masky had tackled me. Jeff got Amber. I was so not happy. I tried to get Masky off but it just wasn't working. He held my wrists down as he sat on me.

        "Get. Off. Me!" I yelled through gritted teeth. I'm sure he could feel the anger radiating off of me. But he didn't let go. I head butted him and he fell off me. I grabbed his mask since it had fallen off. I kicked Jeff in the balls and got Amber up. We started running again. We couldn't go home. They knew where we lived.
